I was thinking of Plaster of Paris not fibreglass. At least it's coming off. I hope it doesn't leave your hands too sore.

    Is it Mod Roc?

Never mind alfie, when you get out of this little difficulty, you'll soon be handling the stuff like a pro, perhaps producing work like this:

The builders we have spoken to think this could add 30k onto our plans ultimately. But tough, I'm here, and I don't see how it can if it's a staged build not a all in one job tbh. I think it's easier for them, but not 30 k financially cheaper.
What I do on a job when I don't want a customer to go a certain way, is to massively add on alot of money to the bit I don't like.
    Which may be happening here.

If they (you) go for it, I haven't lost out, yes the job will be more difficult, but it's alot more money. I can't lose.
Unless they go somewhere else. But you are well entrenched with the dealings I think, so they could think it's a gamble worth taking.

Any chance of a static on site?
Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.

Actully, we didn 't go with the chap who specifically said that. The 'wing' they are starting on can be pretty much totally discreet, then later, we can move in there. We did think about trying to convert an outbuilding first, but it would delay starting the house, and the house cannot wait much
    Longer:rotfl:

The builders we are working with are not used to working with someone here, but they are dealing with it. I think it will cost more, but .....tough.

Yes, dog dog wears coa ts, and even big dog has one for when it's really cold and we are out a long time. I'll measure dog dogs and tell you how big she is, but it's likely it won 't be the right size/ shape......

I wonder if they do well on eBay, there are a few people selling them I think?

    How are yours hands Alfie?
