Have to say, with so many nice horses needing homes with no money changing hands atm it would have to be a very serious proposition for me to buy. I have been looking for a couple of years now for one/two of a particular type of mare to buy, no rush for me. in the next couple of years if I haven't found one and we are ok with money I will do exactly as alfe has done, now both our girls have retired its a bit bleak. Dh and my dad would like to find a ride and drive to share, but we all want different things from them. dh and dad would quite like a fresian though....0

We had a terrific thunder & lightening storm - so Alfie wizarded that up talking about it.
rhiwfield do you know that auctions are more addictive than crack cocaine? I'm glad that I moved well away from them - not, I do miss an auction. I've been snooping about thinking of alternatives to ebay, but I haven't found owt that looks as busy so therefore as successful. I tried to take photos but the cameras flat again. I have so much stuff in the shed I really can't buy anything until I can move about without tripping over something. Must get listing.
I joined a social network site coz someone nagged me to but it's not my thing - loads of Nigerians want to be my friend for some reason...............
I've been disconnecting the router all day when the violent hail showers hit, expecting that thunderclap
Yes, auctions are addictive, but as we end up ahead financially its a pretty easy addiction to afford
Alfie, seriously impressive cars! Hope you get a fortune for them!0 -

i USED to do local auctions up to 12yrs ago ,scout auctions being good ! i once bought an armchair for £3 to which all said i didnt have a hope in hell of re selling...i sold for £65
i regularly bought and sold then. had a damn good holiday each year on proceeds
i can part with furniture ...if its not antique/quirky etc
cars have res. of £4g and £3.5g..........:p0 -
I would like a mother daughters share. Plus living in ther middle of nowhere I would prefer the hoss to be on my own territory. Having had grazing problems in the past, hence why I had to get rid of my riding horse. Luckily kind farmer let my old horse (God bless him) have another summer before he went over the bridge.

I would love to own a horse again but I just don't have the disposable cash atm. After a hideous loan experience in the past I would never go down that route again but I know lots of people find this an ideal way to have a horse.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
We do seem to hit this thunder hail stone snow thing - did last year too - good to hear it's not just here that it's happening in a way.
Those cars are worth a fortune according to Mr Choille who likes those things.
I do envy you being able to do the auctions. We do have one that doubles as a cattlle mart & although it's across country we could go & I probably will start doing now my appetites been re-whetted - so your fault rhiwfield for leading me off the straight & narrow.0 -
I thought that fresians were coos.0
