It would need to be a very BIG cardboard box! But yes, if that's all we need, then, "We have the technology!" :rotfl:

I think the conservatory would be OK. ;)

I've kept a cochin rooster in box and a cat box when needed short term. If its longer term then ys, you'd need a bigger box. ferret hutch?

we hve a whopping grat hill that gets the rain before us from the east and south usually. :)

re chooks, ours all roost bar the one remainig cochin. so bedding is purely to make sweepig easier! The cochin perches just above floor level next t the geese who have a pile or straw. :)

When we've had poorly chooks, we pop them in the cat carrier in the kitchen.

Sebastian is only tiny, but it's surprising how loud his crow is in the confines of a kitchen!

It was also amusing watching him when he saw his reflection in the oven door and thought it was a rival! :rotfl:

Ossie stands about 2' tall now, so I don't think he's going into either of our cat carriers. The poorly Dorkings are in the big ferret run, the RIRs are in the small coop and run, but we do have a 4 tier ferrret cage and one stable in the barn is 'chicken adapted.' :)

Our Australorps don't usually perch, despite the fact that they can probably make 8' from a standing start.

Not long to wait now, alfie! Toothache is definitely the worst and completely impossible to ignore, so you're doing brilliantly by still getting things done. :A
