Sorry to hear that Dave. Our little sebrite was very poorly earlier this year. He rattled really badly and was so droopy, we really thought we were going to lose him. Luckily, after a week of Baytril and lots of TLC he recovered and went back up to his wife and the rest of the girls.
I hope yours pull through.0 -
IMO, its been a miserable year for them, very little sunbathing, wind bringing every illness in all directions, and dust from the dry, dry land.
Its a bit less cold today, thank god.0 -

I miss CTC too. I know she will bounce back in the end, but maybe she has her hands full in other directions ATM.
Hens are still alive this a.m.:) Despite making noises all through the night, they are calmer, and the one that didn't eat yesterday had some corn.0 -

The weather look set to be fearsoe for the Scotish daydreamers. Take care.
Here its very quiet, I haven't yet shut my shutters, and the sy is a cold blue tinged pink, and icicle mauve. The breeze is soft but the ice in it packs a punch in the jaw.0 -

Sat for two hours this morning in a cold auction room, wearing thermals, gloves, woolly hat and lots of layers. Car was packed with the three lots we bought and DW in her element again with all the embroidered linen, tablecoths, table runners, nightie cases etc, thats now filling the house while they air and warm up. Some seems to have come from WRNS and other naval quarters, so lots of lovely laundered and starched immaculate damask linen as well as a fair bit of stuff in cool retro fabrics.
Time to ratchet down the Ebay activity, do a few o/s jobs and start preparing for a family Christmas
Our chooks are spending a lot of their time in the coop as another strong gust of wind and sleet sends them scurrying. Will rig up extra shelter for them.0 -

Weather far from quiet here, but probably nothing compared with "Oop North." Very squally and only good for working in the polytunnel.
The two isolated hens are a bit better, but not out of the woods yet. Meanwhile, we're not sure if Ozzie, our cockerel, is catching it. He's made a few odd noises today.
Lord, where would we isolate him?
Good luck weatherwise to those of you North of the Midlands.0
