    I've been Money Tipped!
Mushrooms have been amazig here too. I have pots of peacock orchis, and some in the border that were a no show:(

Sadly, I saw some birds (black corids, not sure which, I get my corvids confused) looking as if they were nest bulding today, and the wagtails hve also been fying around with stuff in their beaks. :(

Nest building; I meant to mention that. Now I've removed well over 100 blackthorn bushes, I'm fairly sure that nothing nests in them, because I've yet to find the evidence.

Amazing that this hedgerow I'm on has been growing unmolested for about 10 years, yet if there are any nests, they're in the larger trees, not in the ones I'm cutting. Makes me wonder where most of the birds nest.

We had daytime power cuts last week, choille. Lasted six or seven hours on the long one. We get quite a few short ones in the middle of the night too. We'd not notice those, but we have phones with 'voices,' which shout that the power's gone off! Technology eh? :rotfl:

LIR - Corvids I believe repair rather than build nests from scratch???? Possibly a myth but the other week when it was mild - unlike white out conditions - like now - there were wee birds singing for mates.
Peacock orchids - must google them - sounds wonderful.

Mushrooms - I did give a rather good mushroom book to my brother a few years back - wish I hadn't now!!!

@ Alfie - OH has come back with measurements. He says the mini is 31"-32" & the big boy 35". As measuring for the latter was done with a metre rule on a muddy 25% gradient while the pony kept taking a few steps forward ("Something odd going on here I'm loathe to play ball" ;) ) I'd allow an inch or 2 possible difference on that one. :D

    Suite looks great!
