been sat here working out an estimate of mabels weight by those measurement calculations !!

iv had BF doing calc's 3 times [driving him nuts !] but i couldnt believe the results !

128.5 STONE ! APPROX 3/4 + TONNE.!!

sadly without the chip board on top they feel rather dangerous.

Its been a hectic few weeks and the ladies vintage clothing is nearly all sold, packed and posted. The PO counter staff hide when they see DW with another load of parcels. Tapestry to the States, lingerie to Germany, scarves to Belgium, lace tablet to France, tartan to the Shetland Isles. And PO losing postage label and charging customer yet more postage and handling fee, despite proof of posting :mad:

Two of the Silver Dorkings went down with a respiratory ailment today, so I've isolated them. One is so poorly it isn't eating or drinking, so I've been administering Tylan in water via a syringe.:(

DW is away and has the car, so I rang the vet from the chicken isolation house and got her to listen to the birds, which she could do quite easily. If things deteriorate, I'll see her tomorrow morning.

Despite more or less ideal conditions, we don't seem to have had much luck with chooks this year!

Sorry to hear that Dave - if they're warm & quiet that's all you can do really. I've brought birds indoors if it's been especially cold & they are like that but sometimes it's hopeless. If they get a shot of anti-biotics if they get a secondary infection that helps but often not good outlook, but here's hoping.

We have cracking ice today & really cold. Don't know what the roads are like but supposed to go into Ullapool tomorrow but that looks pretty doubtful looking at the forecast.
Goash I've hardly done owt today apart from boring email stuff & paperwork. I'm developing hooves on me backside!
