Evening all
Its great that we are all encouraging and motivating each other :j ...I think you are right Rummer -having folks to urge you on and this thread is really making a difference
Stitching witch :T ...thats your fund started then :T ...Its amazing what you can come up with if you think hard enough isn't it
I haven't added my total to my signature yet as the saving I have started doing may be called upon for other things like car repairs etc (although touch wood NOT) -I guess I could do an add up and add it to my signature and then reduce it IF I have to use any
-and it would have to be an emergency :rotfl:
On the Greenery front - I went into my brassica tent earlier and my 6 brussels sprouts are just about to break the surface :j and the kale and chard is starting to appear -ooohhhh excitement :rotfl: ......
In the spare room the seeds are coming on great guns -the cucmbers are breaking through and have only been set a couple of days:D ....
Hoping to get some more bits set tomorrow
Hope everyone has a good week-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Hmm I have had my cucumbers in for weeks and nothing, does that mean they are dead seeds?
I have been planning how I can clear my debt faster so I hoping that my savings will start soon (well in a few months)!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Hi Rummer
It sounds like you could have a problem with your seeds -
I have 6 different varieties and set 1 of each on the 28th(just chescked my list:p ) and I have 5 through and 1 just peeking out -in 3 days
how/where did you set them?
I punched holes in the bottom of cottage cheese pots, filled with compost and set 1...just a thought - could yours have rotted .?..only you are recommended to set the seed on its edge so water will run off... then I covered with a bit of compost and kept under a sheet of plastic and misted to keep the compost moist until they popped through and then whipped them from under...
I would set some more and see how they come on-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
I planted them weeks ago in individual pots in the hall in front of a sunny window and everything else has come up but them. Guess I will need to do without or go and buy another pack of seeds.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

No, use the Internet to check its value. At that age it is pure silver! Ought to be worth a bit more than 5p!0 -

been adding the loose change to my pot, which is feeling quite heavy now...
been busy transpalnting my cabbage and lettuce plants and sowing more seeds..
also bought some more chickens too a lovely pair of young red silkies and an older pair of silkies
its the last day of freedom for hte chickens and ducks today...lol... well what i mean is they will not be aloud to roam around my garden, as i am going to start planting and sowing seeds in there...
