What will you be doing with this "super food" crop?

Apparently its price on the world market has been shooting up to the point where the South American peasants cannot afford to eat it any more.0 -
evening all
im rather pleased with today... caught all 6 minis and barney[easy ] for the farrier. poor man can hardley stand upright after "doing" the mini's feet !! ruby just looked on [need a horse whisperer !....or a sledge hammer...:D ] BUT Dora's feet are improving her posture now, her front legs are the problem but after the x-rays the farrier can do his best.
LORI.....well he took me clean off my feet again !!:o i swear i see a naughty glint in his eye when i go to catch him... made all the morewhen the farrier walked up to him,got hold of his head collar [put on and left on from last time]and led him over to me to hold after id picked myself up !! it is now a GAME me finks !!:rotfl:
tomorow im off to the NEW FOREST SHOW. i will probably,as usual, walk round trying to figure out why ive just paid [a lot] to see exactly what was there last year...and the year before...and before that !!:D ah well, i may be surprised....
im waiting for an edwardian wedding dress on £bay....my weakness is old clothes/hats.
sees you later0 -

That sounds lovely and exactly what I would like for next to my path, what type of lavender works best for that type of thing?Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -

Evening all - Boy is it hot - HOT.
Little chick chicks seem to be doing really well. I had to switch their heat lamp off today before they cooked to a crisp!
Don't seem to be able to sell my Scot's Greys - got offered £4 @ pullet on the phone the other day - Geeee. Some folks eh? Got another round of ads this Fri/weekend.
Still the sheep have their jackets on as the shearer hasn't been - I find it all so stressful having to rely on others. I must do a course if one comes along.
The roof build is coming on & will take photos tomorrow when camera battery charged - looks like the skeleton of a wonderful curved beast clambering up the croft. It is starting to look like I may one day actually live in a house - a grown up one too. A one off!
CTC - I used to do market stalls with vintage stuff - cheap way to do it, but loads of work - packing & unpacking each day you do one.
Dave hope you get joy with chicken dealers - Small claims is a bit iffy - we got threatened with a counterclaim - scary.
LIR - sounds a load of work, but once i's done right it'll last & look superb.
What sort of knocker & knob will you have? Don't mean to sound like an extra from a Carry On film!0 -
Congratulations on the frock Alfie - is it a dropped waist-line affair?0

Its a shame we aren't closer, I'd love to have bought some of your scots greys...having never met any!
the knocker is a bit tricky. Ours is not original, but old nonetheless. Probably regency. But I don't like it.
We think we're going for a very simple round bronze knocker like this one.

and a very simple matching round knob and plain letterbox. We also are going to install a bell.
Our door has lovely square panels, and then the georgian sashes etc...we thing a round thing will probably flatter the geometry everywhere else, and ..unusually for us decorativelywant something simple for our door...nothing too flash like a georgian lion....the door is too small for that IMO.
