Come to think of it, my mental health is important too! ;)

Bolded is the bit that concerns me. You'll probably find it cheaper not to pursue through courts, and for sanity sake worth it, but my advice, fwiw, is that the welfare aspect is followed up on to your ability within parametres of sanity.

Finally we have rain today! Saves me having to water the garden although I am sure it ill bring the weeds back with new energy! So I am instead concentrating on the house today which has been neglected during our brief spell of sunshine.

LIR - I have the dentist in a fortnight - eeek.

Dave - It is the negative energy vortex that you can descend into when you have strife - sometimes best to shrug & walk well away. Some folks wil never learn they're too dense.

Another hot day & rather dull so midgied - I spent it cutting down docks & making cups of coffee for Callum & Davy the joiners who we've had here all week as the builder has no work for them.
Great to see the roof sheets going on - soon be water tight - yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Its really close isn't it. Its not hot here but intensly close, unbearable. I keep doing a minute or so of the fan light then sitting down. Even the dogs are exhausted by it.

Dispite the rain in the mid of the season the summer grazing isn';t showing much growth at all. My grazing system might need a review, even the fatties are losing weight...but I like the track..its easier to poo pick ...bad reason to stick with it though, eh?

Poo picking is a never ending and soul destroying job, any workable scheme that reduces the time it takes is worth persevering with.

hehehe. Have you read about this system Rummer? I've loosely based mine on the ''Paddock paradise'' sytem. Very loosely...we don't have gravel or sand areas or anyhing....basically we just have a strip round the edge of the summer field :D

No I haven't, I just remember being sent to do it when I was young, that and ragwort removal. When I was older I let the yard manager worry about such things.

What will you be doing with this "super food" crop?

Doubt we'll get much if any harvest as sowed too late really. But you can eat the leaves, so might try some in salad when we get back from Abersoch. It all sounds a bit of a faff to prepare for eating too, overnight soak and then lots of rinses to remove the saponins. I thought it would be an interesting plant to try though (and it sounds quite decorative too :) ), just hope we can get the amaranth planted too - time has just run away with us this week, and we're off tomorrow.

Still got the kale to plant out too! Was too knackered after the weeding and lavender planting yesterday to do much today, and am very stiff and sore despite a long hot soak in the bath this morning! But I've had a hair cut, always a morale booster! :)
