Think that's called Empire line? Alfie - sounds very nice - I think.
I got a genuine panama hat for £1 on Monday - so very chuffed with that.

We think we're going for a very simple round bronze knocker like this one.

    http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgur...oj3DoieOp3f4X4

and a very simple matching round knob and plain letterbox. We also are going to install a bell.

    Lovely stuff.
I once had what is called a rattle - a twisted iron door handle with a loop around it with a sort of tab attached. The idea was to rattle it up 7 down the handle - V.Old & I sold it way too cheap.
I did used to buy brass repo door furniture, but will just have to scour the net. I want an arched double front door that opens outwards..........

I'm just the goffer Alfie & the bacon buttie & coffee maker at the mo.

It's so midgied just now - & they are in the caravan nipping away at us. Got a few clegg bites today too.
Very kind about the hol offer - I may hold you to it someday!

    !

I love outward opening doors....but so does my dentist.....one of those doors relieved me of my freshly grown front tooth when I was a kid. Costs me a fortune every now and then, and in recent years I've been told the tooth is dying and will eventually go brown/black.

Make sure not to fling them both open when someone knocks!:D (the grim smiley now tortures me with its perfect teeth:o)

Old knockers are nice often & would sell Alfie you should have a shed sale maybe.

LIR - Sorry about the tooth. I'll glaze the doors & only fling them both wide if it's offials or Jehovahs witnesses - but maybe not allowed to say that!

Good plan. That tooth spends its life being knocked out, twice by rearing horses, twice when I've fallen over in ice, and once when I stupidly drank from a glass bottle in a moving vehicle.:o:o

ATM I make sure I don't use my front teeth, we can't afford it!

Evening all - Boy is it hot - HOT.

Dave hope you get joy with chicken dealers - Small claims is a bit iffy - we got threatened with a counterclaim - scary.

Hot, yes! We were out selling plants all day yesterday and I got a slight touch of sunstroke. :o We took £100 more than last year at the same place. Not bad for a couple of folk who are giving it up. :D

Yeah, we were threatened with a counter-claim too, which didn't bother me much TBH. Just threatened to drag the whole thing out.

Since then, I've had another email from the woman. It was non-threatening & she just sounded really depressed & fed up. This was in response to me sending them the link to the Poultry Pages thread that's been removed. I think it rattled her, but probably not him. Anyway, call me a softie, but I've decided someone else's mental health is probably worth more than what we were claiming. She isn't what you'd call bright, and I don't think she 'gets it' properly, even now.

Come to think of it, my mental health is important too! ;)
