Morning all
Well have just checked my blog and aaarrrggghhh its been nearly 3 weeks since I last posted - thats how hectic things have been here!
Back to writing in the hope that later this year I have a wee stash of cash for christmas. On knitting have finished the back of my test piece and am just about to start the front! And on garden hubby has been very busy making plans!
So off to take brats to school, then make a docs appt for hubby then can get on with everything else that needs doing, spent £45 at the garden centre last night so need to get everything we bought sorted out, and hopefully get an asda delivery although tesco have free delivery just now so debating which to go for!
Hope you all have a lovely day. See you all later xxxLBM - August 2008 - Debts then - £33390 - 2nd LBM - November 2009 - Debts then - £18500:mad:

Hello!
Not rude at all, I bet you were very excited with your new arrivals! I am so jealous!!!
Well, only myself works at the moment, o/h still trying to sort himself out with regards to jobs. So no dream fund at present.
We have however got a fairly nice savings account of about 3 grand  this started a couple of years ago when I flogged some take that tickets on ebay (my work mates let me down) and they reached a staggering £800!!!!!!! Amazing. So this set the savings off to a flying start of £500.
This has been increased regularly by selling books and other items on amazon and ebay, a nice win of £100 from a competition  and o/h doing some odd gardening jobs.
We desperately need our windows replaced though as they are wrecked. Nice to think we could just pay them off straightaway but also a bit reluctant to dip in to our savings.
Decisions Decisons!
I also earn a bit of extra money by completely endless amounts of boring surveys in my lunch break......
And I've also started saving £2 coins (aiming high) haven't looked in there yet but keep jangling the pot to guess0 -
Welcome Suzynick - everyone on here is really friendly and helpful so you are in good company!
I now have 3 moneypots that I refuse to touch! Two are the metal tins that need opened with a proper tin opener. They are chock full and heavy and the other is a tube that contained a bottle of beer hubby got for christmas! It's about 2/3 full so when thats full I will start on another tub! I have them all hidden away and will open them in November to see how much is there for christmas! Anything less than a £1 coin gets chucked in as soon as we get in the door so we don't miss it really.
I write product reviews on Ciao uk and post them on Dooyoo, Epinions and Ciao US. So far am up to £15 on Ciao UK, $3 on US, $92 on Epinions and the dooyoo I save my points for amazon vouchers which always help for christmas!!! Last year I got over £100 of vouchers and we had already gotten all the kids pressies so I blew the lot on books and household stuff!
Not to mention a couple of pay per clicks and endless surveys!
Hopeing to get some cash in hand typing work soon that I can do from home for people. And seriously have to get my rear end in gear as we have loads of army stuff that hubby no longer needs to list on ebay as surplus kit generally sells quite well.
Fingers crossed!!!
Anyway I'm going back to my knitting before I have to go and get the wee one from school. Speak to you all later xxLBM - August 2008 - Debts then - £33390 - 2nd LBM - November 2009 - Debts then - £18500:mad:

Hello
Yes looking forward to being an active member! Still browsing through the other posts on this daydream thread....
How have you got into the typing work, is that for people that you know? I'm quite happy typing away so this would be great for me to earn some extra money.
Yes I've got loads of stuff to add on ebay too, o/h has some fishing clothing that is worth quite a bit, whether or not it will sell on ebay is another matter. I'm slowly parting with some childhood comics and annuals, I have loads and have decided its silly to keep all of them so the ones I got 2nd hand from car boots and jumble sales when I was younger are the ones I am going to sell. My parents bought the others for me and used to put comments in the front cover to....happy Christmas love mum and dad (!) so these are a bit sentimental. the most I ever got for an annual was £30! I listed it on Amazon and found I had a buyer waiting willing to pay this amount.
Happy knitting by the way! I can't knit at all but I can do simple cross stitching!0 -
Hey suzynick
Have just put the feelers out with a couple of friends and said if they know of anyone who needs typing done for cash then to give them my number. Haven't had any calls yet but its still early days. The only other thing I'm going to do is put up a notice at the local college. I know that many students do tend to do their own typing but some still prefer to get it done for them.
I tend to list my books on play.com I've got about £15 so far but keeping it to get books for the kids for christmas. My dad is just about to have a massive clearout of his books so I did hint that I would take the excess books off his hands, just so I can get some extra pennies in my play account. I have a signed autobiography thats been listed for ages but hasnt sold so I think ebay may be needed for that one! Hubby is a total trekkie as well so I have loads of star trek and charmed magazines that I need to get into gear and list, could make some cash from them too!
Now you have the advantage on me, I cannot cross-stitch to save myself!!! This knitting is a project that I wanted to make to see if I can manage to make something other than a blooming scarf lol.
Glad you are enjoying MSE - everyone here is really friendly and if you have a problem, they are always there with some very good advice.LBM - August 2008 - Debts then - £33390 - 2nd LBM - November 2009 - Debts then - £18500:mad:

Afternoon everyone....
ooohh not only talking about gardening and things but now -crafting too :j-just need to throw in cooking and thats all my hobbies pretty much covered :rotfl:
Bonsibabe.... the army now take back a lot of the kit when you leave -but since hubby has stuff from when he first joined -24 years ago :eek:and has another 3 years left (unless he can extend again)... I guess I will be rumaging through and holding onto anything that we can ebay when he has done..I have allready instructed him to request more thermals, socks etc this autumn -so he has a good collection for when he leaves
I started our 2nd change tub yesterday (a sealed up whiskey tube) -the 1st one is safely deposited into the savings account :A
Im a x-stitch addict..and do some knitting oh and taught myself to crochet -well i can go up and down in nice straight-ish lines :rotfl:
I have loads of gorgeous wool I got from Kemps on line (they have some good bargains) -so I really must get some of it used -but I get distracted and wander off into the garden:p
I have hubby well on side now... we nipped for a few bits of shopping last night and when i wandered him along the ice cream section and asked if he wanted any he replied " no thanks -we are being frugal" :T:rotfl:
so in the end I spent about €11 -so even though I that was the 2nd week of my June grocery challenge i have only spent just under €15
I never thought I would find "not spending" addictive.... but I do... the only temptation I have had in ages is an ice cream maker I saw yesterday -i have wanted a proper one (where you don't keep the bowl in the freezer) for years but the lakeland one is over £300
...
well LIDL have this one in as of tomorrow :-

please tell me NOT to have one-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
