Can't help you there Choille, Alfie seems to be the Oracle on Ebay sellers though so maybe she could shed some light.

Oh I forgot to mention, I was at Morrisons the other day spending my Morrisons Miles vouchers (£25) on VATable stuff before Jan 1st and noticed they had an offer on Velvet toilet rolls - 16 rolls for £3.96 making each toilet roll 24.7p each! Yay result! I now have enough toilet roll to last me a year!

Thanks for the loo roll tip.
  • I sell my crotchet blankets anything from £5 for smallish squares, which are ideal for decorating the back of the chair, to £30 for large throw type ones...

Yes they are very trendy at the mo.... I like them as the Dingles have them,lol.... hence What i call Dingle Chic..

Alfie... i have loads of vintage hats, but they are run of the mill type ones... I do have a cute 1930's 'pixie' type one...

will go and see if i have a pic of it

Yes Choille definitely is a grind, makes me want to stay at work longer! I do feel for you being in a caravan, and so far north! I have a polo shirt on my head as I type (I don't own a hat either!). The good news is that I have one glove! Heaven know's where the other one is!

I have a course to attend for the next 3 days in the city centre which means paying out £4 per day parking (company has a contract with the car park company luckily). Still it's £12 I would rather not pay out this side of Christmas plus the extra petrol. I'll hopefully get it back in mid January if I can be quick at submitting my expenses. That should help, January is a horrible month when you're paid monthly!

Poosmate... you make sure you have plenty of warm drinks...

In my WWII cook book, they used to have something called salt and pepper soup.....yep you guest it, it was boiling water, with a bit of salt and pepper in it...

Hi CTC - Is Dingle chic all 1970's swirls orange & browns? I don't watch Emmerdale.

I used to have a junk shop in a previous life but am out of step with what sells now. I was all kitchenalia & victorian jewellery in the main.

Poo - paid monthly is such a pain. I've not been paid in about a year - self employed!

cool.....Have you noticed there is more of a connection between us all, than meets the eye....

here is a link to the 'dingle's' livingroom/kitchen, the only thing which is diff remove the leopard throw on the sofa and replace it with an old moth eaten crotchet blanket, and plonk a couple of long haired lurchers on the sofa...:rotfl:

I love it... I would be like a pig in poo if that was my place.....yes i know i am sad.... but it just gives me the sense of contentment

If you can put foil behind the radiators then that helps reflect the heat back into the room.

I'm not even thinking about another bleak spell. Last Winter was horrendous here & I just couldn't face another Winter as long & hard as that.

Anyone know what is trendy to sell on ebay as I'm gonna hit the charity shops tomorrow & I'm gonna get into ebay selling.
i used sheets of the stuff you put under floors under , underfloor heating behind my radiators.... it comes in pieces about 4ftx3ft. it LOOKS like asbestos [isnt] with foil one side... works a treat and i used off cuts from a friends house . just cut with jig saw and slid down behind. luckily i have high skirtings so it just sat on the top of them.

the things iv noticed on ebay is as i think iv said modernish sheepskin coats, afghan coats [real fur ones] and generally any retro items. real sheepskin boots etc. also things like OLD teacosies, aprons etc [like granmas]
glass and china not so good...too much on there.
any really old clothes go well....raid your neighbours!!

Yes alfie - thanks - I will have a look when I'm in town. I am a bit of a charity shop addict, but must get rid of stuff before buying anything else really - no room left.
