Trouble is, all our feet (mine and the kids (sorry kids, genetics :)))are really wide and don't fit most normal footwear, so we need to try them on before we buy.
Amazingly there is a store not that far away from us, so I might try and get there this weekend. Probably too much information, but I have really thick calves as well, so put me in some thick socks and most wellies won't even go on. :p

This dry cold can continue all winter as far as I'm concerned, no mud!
Aye, it's really nice this morning, I love the cold weather when the ground is frozen. I want to go walking, but I'm a little worried it will be too cold for my little one, he would go on my back carrier and wouldn't be moving.

-4 last night and the perpetual spinach seems to be holding up ok.

The great thing about those is the velcro gives you quite a lot of calf room. :)

That tis why I mentioned it :) I did mean to point out the relevance, but never got round to it.

Thinking about it, the Mrs has got pretty chunky legs also, they breed em for strength and work where she comes from :D

You're welcome. :):kisses3: A love in might keep us all warm, sounds like a plan.

My sunny morning has dulled to a grey afternoon . We're trying to decide what job to tackle this weekend, I think we might make a start on clearing the veg area. or maybe move some more logs while the ground is frozen. I really want to get the old horses out for a stretch legs if the weather is lovely, its good for them and goodness knows t would be good for my spirits!

I booked the hedge cutting man today! Yippee. He sounds fantastic, a neighbour recommended him and I called and asked if he knew the place and he said ''Young lady, I have lived here in this village for precisely 71 years and six months longer than you and cut the hedges there for fifty years. I think I'll find my way there this year''. :D:D So he knows who and where I am then!

Here's the pheasant page from one of the poultry & game bird suppliers near here. See if you can spot the Freudian typo!

They are lovely people and keep all kinds of stock. If anyone wants a wallaby.....:)

Edit: Just been perusing their newsletter and, reading between the lines, they need support. Also, their neighbour has just applied for PP for a breeding kennels. They are half way through a straw bale walled house build, so heavily committed to the site......I feel for them. (The fancy breeds place up the road from there recently went bust.)
Oh my god, I want a goat, or two or three. I was listening to the Radio 4 Food and farming awards this morning and feeling very inspired. Pesonally, to, after a few years living in Pakistan, I think it would have to be the anglo-nubian goat for me. They are very populr in curries over there - standard fayre, rather than lamb.
