rofl. they are much warmer than normal ones, I like mine. they only thing is if I'm just popping out for feeds all the straps are a bit boring, especially if my back is bad, its a long time to bend over for :o They feel goo though, and mine have lasted very well, I'm tough on boots but these are holding their own!

I am very feeble in the cold so anything that will help is fabulous! I have wellies but they are not exactly warm so those boots look great! Just to check I ordered my normal shoe size, they aren't funny sizes are they?

Here's the pheasant page from one of the poultry & game bird suppliers near here. See if you can spot the Freudian typo!

They are lovely people and keep all kinds of stock. If anyone wants a wallaby.....:)

Edit: Just been perusing their newsletter and, reading between the lines, they need support. Also, their neighbour has just applied for PP for a breeding kennels. They are half way through a straw bale walled house build, so heavily committed to the site......I feel for them. (The fancy breeds place up the road from there recently went bust.)

There was me thinking you meant Lady Amherst C**k when it was quite innocent after all, if a little worrying for the pheasants!

Good day yesterday :) DW got all clear to start driving from the doctor and has got rid of the crutches. Babysat our 3yo GD3, she's a real delight (and handful). Early on went to the beach to stock up on kindling and watch the waves, lucky so far no snow or ice to speak of though minus 4C Wed night and minus 3C last night.

Out at 6:30am to switch on the chicken lights, everything deep frozen apart from the hens who seem fine. Potatoes and apples in the garage are covered with a tarp to prevent freezing, but able to get swede and carrots from a bed despite the hard ground.

Got hit for uni fee payment for DS2 yesterday, a few no spend days coming up :(

But should do well at the next craft fair, DW has just made a matching hat and scarf from crimbo wool and a lovely long soft scarf with sections of drop stitch from black, grey and white ribbon wool, as well as mitts etc. Must update the website!

Oooo, I really like those, I don't have much use for them in the garden atm, what with no chickens for the present, but for walking/geocaching they would be brilliant. I went with my DD last weekend and we came back covered in mud from toe to crotch :D

Trouble is, all our feet (mine and the kids (sorry kids, genetics :)))are really wide and don't fit most normal footwear, so we need to try them on before we buy.
Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.

I think I ordered a size bigger for sock room, needlessly as I don't need great big socks ith them, but also because I like a boot with room. The fleece lining is good, but its got thinner, and what I might do eventually is put fleece insoles in them (I love fleece insoles but they bulk out most things too much)

That is really useful. I think I might order from them Davesnave. Thank you!

I spilled, actualy, no, one of the horses, emptied a bucket of sugar beet on the yard this morning and it froze instantly. I put some grit on it :) It was not frozen in the bucket over night though.

This dry cold can continue all winter as far as I'm concerned, no mud!
