  • Hi all, have had a good day - a general s&s to get the house to vaguely presentable. I also found half a jar of HM mincemeat at back of fridge and was making pastry for chicken pie so made a bit extra - and apple crumble so a bit of a stodge/carbs evening - will be too tired to do anything else then.:drool:

    sunnygirl - my two have those microphones too and i always find it odd to hear a 5 & 3 year old singing fabulous

    Triker - pelvic floor!! i went on a study day with a physio who said over 80% of women referred to her for surgery didn't need it after doing pelvic floor programme and they weren't complicated either :o

    Rach - have you ever tried the magazine the lady for cottages - we have got several of ours from here in the past - seems cheaper than those companies too although its been a few years since we looked

    right, off to bath little ones and watch end of enchanted - need to do some ironing tonight but early night me thinks. will check back in for tomorrows list

    I usually pop chitted spuds in a container (bucket, washing basket, old empty grow bag turned on its end, etc) in a bit of compost, then "earth up" as the new growth shows. With the spud bags, aren't they already full - do you then have to push the spuds to the bottom? (I'm experimenting this year with seed pots and shop ones.. last year, I had pots growing in my compost heap. I didn't dive in to get them out tho!:rotfl:

    I usually container garden my veggies, but this year have got 2 raised beds - seeds well under way (must remember to keep sowing!). :j I am waiting for an allotment, but there is a big queue!

    Thanks for all the info re walks!

    ETA - just read Master W's post! Is he a flybaby??

    I know, I know......but the instructions I got said that you can do them at a bus stop and no-one would notice....trouble is, I don't get the bus anymore.:p;):D

    I actually bought a...contraption, recently refound after decluttering, I did tell Pigpen but for some reason she couldn't stop laughing.:confused: The contraption is inserted where it needs to be inserted and then by the forces of nature a little pole raises up and that shows you that you are strengthening all the right muscles.

    It's still in the packet.:whistle::silenced:

    ZCC - I'm doing mine in the black bin bag method I read online. It'll involve adding compost as the potatoes grow.

    Embb - found the CC - it's on UK TV History in Virgin Media land! Starting at 8pm. Run time, it seems, is three hours so I may well nod off before the end...
