Oh are we all meeting up. Would love it.

Froddy volunteered to organised a SE meet for anyone who can make it - I seem to remember that she was thinking of a London one and one further west (well, we can't get soappie to London ;) ) so hopefully between them they'll be manageable for quite a few of us!

You can get OH to look after the kids, and have a day out with us!

    Hi everyone.

Been a busy bee today. DH has gone to the Man City / Chelsea game (away), so he's been out since 8am this morning and won't be back 'til about 8pm. I've been very generous letting him go....but think I can feel a spa weekend with the girls coming on!:rotfl:

So I have done 3 loads of washing (still drying it), S&S'd the kitchen, made cheese, potato & onion pies which we had for tea, with 4 left for the freezer. Also doubled up on the pastry so there's some pastry in the freezer for another day. DD1 and I also made a swiss roll and filled it with double cream mixed with mandarin oranges. Takes me back to my childhood as my mum always made it when we were little.

Anyway, the girls are now prancing around the house with their High School Musical microphones singing along to 'Fabulous' so I think it could be bathtime before they get too loopy!

Think I'll get them both in bed and do a HHC in the lounge and kitchen. Hope everyone has enjoyed the sunshine today. See you later. x

Embb - think about now is right for planting potatoes, mine are chitting at the mo & planning to plant them later this week/next weekend. I do mine in bags tho as my garden is hopelessly difficult to dig!

ZCC - Hi, I know bits of the North Devon Coast Path that are really lovely but hilly! Anywhere around Abbotsham cliffs, Green Cliff, Bucks Mill, Peppercombe.. all really beautiful but not at all flat!

gtx - yes, I'm dahn sarf where it's warmer and sunnier- we may get the odd frost still but it won't be too bad from now on.

Toots - DD and BF are very happy. In fact, BF said that at last things were getting good again. Which is nice. He's had a couple of rough years. He was the victim of an assault in a pub a couple of years ago. He got glassed and as a result, lost his right eye. The damage meant he can't have a glass eye so he wears a dashing pirate's patch to avoid scaring children, old ladies and horses with his scars. Then he had to go through the court case when the perps were prosecuted. He was under police protection for a while because of threats and witness intimidation etc. But, here's hoping their future will be good together.

The soak in the bath was wonderful. All the earth is now out from under my fingernails, I have deep conditioned my hair and cut my toenails. I could just curl up on the bed and crash out right now. The dog is already there- snoring away!

But I can't, I need to do Sunday roast. Hey ho - onward and upward...

FAO Gardeners If I get some spud bags do I need to be planting now? I'm a complete novice.

Don't ask me - I'm a novice too! And what do you mean by spud bags?

Soappie There's a Catherine Cookson on tonight on the 'Yesterday' channel 8pm or 9 on the plus hour - The Secret. I'm gonna make OH's day and watch it :D

Oooooh thankyou for that! I shall just have to work out which is the Yesterday channel.

Shields - are you north or south? I've had a couple of holidays up there (traipsing the graveyards - one branch of my ancestors came from Craster) and the coastline is spectacular. I could happily move up there tomorrow.
