ZCC - I don't know that area so well, have done bits of the SW coast path but that was in north cornwall. I would suggest getting the Jarrold Pathfinder guides book for your area (the green ones are best). They have good maps and circular walks which is good as you can do some coast and cut back over land which is much quicker and less effort!

greenbee - I had wondered about seeing if people wanted me to think about a walk when we all meet....I'd love to if people were up for it. Not too far, of course! I've got a few ideas... Holiday - we're not set on where...ideas include Scottish borders, Welsh borders, Northumbria or Snowdonia. I'd like to be near the sea. Good walking goes without saying! I was thinking £350 per week for a cottage but I think that's way too low...the money's not a problem if we find a nice enough place! I'm now doing a countrywide search on cottages4you...

and to think you once got your joys from slashed clothes, hair dye and pogo-ing and Siouxsie and the Banshees et al:rotfl:
old age - comes to us all ***VERY deep sigh***

The clothes are just scruffy as opposed to slashed, the hair dye is like my blood, can't live without it :D, pogoing went out the window when me and Tena lady had to get aquainted, (though I gave it a good go fairly recently ......bleached jeans and a wet patch is not a good look :o) and I'm not a big fan of S A T B, more of a Crass, subhumans girl meself.

    Hi toots
Yes it's OU - Don't laugh - Classical Studies
What is more I am (apparently) doing it purely for pleasure. Which is not how it feels with a TMA looming.
AnWsMum - I finally have daffodils (dwarf ones in front bed). Have been watching them and at last they are starting to open.

I havent any yet - hardly even buds to open!!! What does your classical studies involve - sorry to be nosey - and ignorant - but I am trying to find something that I might like! (for when I have free time greenbee!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: )
Hello:j TAG how good to see you again and VERY WELL DONE giving up smoking - thats brilliant! I have missed my HHC buddy!!!!! I think we are all having a go at the seeds this year - we will be needing HHG more often from pigpen!
ZCC thats ok hun - was just concerned - I havent managed anymore today either and I am not even trying - the flat is reasonable - in fact my best mate was in this morning and he said he had never seen it so tidy which is true - he always seemed to come when it was at its worst!!! Not that he bothers! Your walk sounds nice - hope the aches go away - you wont be so bad the next time.
LadyL phew!!!! was getting worried there for a mo!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:
soappie I intend to read some of the greenfingured and green threads while I am getting treatment - well thats the plan! How is DD and BF enjoying their flat?

Polly thanks for the saus & tom pie recipe, it's on my menu for this week.

gtx One of my customers gows spuds in those green bag/sack things and we live in S Tyneside, they come out great last year too.

FAO Gardeners If I get some spud bags do I need to be planting now? I'm a complete novice.
Welcome back Tag and well done quitting smoking :T

Soappie There's a Catherine Cookson on tonight on the 'Yesterday' channel 8pm or 9 on the plus hour - The Secret. I'm gonna make OH's day and watch it :D

Got the chicken in the oven and the veg ready to turn on, littley cleaned out both hamsters so I spent the rest of the afternoon hoovering - what a mess she makes, I swear I'm turning into Mrs Bucket cause she kept looking at me when she spilt some of it saying sorry :rotfl:

FAO coast walkers Here in Shields we have the most beautiful coastline, worth a w/e trip even if it's only once in your life. *shudders at walking* that's why God invented cars :p:D
