    An update on the watch

I asked the guy to obtain a quote for the repair however he has now emailed me saying the watch has now been repaired and now has a white face. He has asked if i'll be prepared to meeting some of the costs of the 190 euro repair.

I never asked him to get the watch repaired and now it's got a white face instead of the rose face so how can i now get the watch back as it's been altered.

    Any advice?

I'm not sure you are on the correct thread.

I would now actually stand firm and say that you cannot accept a return where a material alteration has been made to the watch and a return was really all you felt was appropriate in this case.

If he goes to paypal, asusming he still has time, then they would want the watch returned anyway and he probably wouldn't want to do that now he is out of pocket for an unathorised repair.

Frankly the best I would have done was refund the outward postage as a goodwill gesture, but I'm not sure I would even do that now.

No problem I thought we had a glitch as I was reading a thread this morning and when I replied it went to a different thread, I was hoping to prove it wasn't just me doing posting wrong!

Do i have the right to not accept it back as it's been modified and what do you think Paypal will do if he files a dispute?

The Paypal 45 days is up on Saturday this week.

Someone is going to come along with more info but I would say to tell him he decided to accept the watch when he had it repaired and since he was had it repaired he can no longer return it for a refund as he can not return it in the sent condition and refuse to give him anything towards it

I've done some digging around and would you believe it he has the watch for sale on ebay Germany for 1,750 Euros the number of the auction is 380118812058.

If i ask for the watch back i presume he will only get the £921 back for it and not the cost of the repair?
