    Chocolate crunch.

    7oz SR flour
    6oz caster sugar
    6oz margarine
    1oz cocoa powder
    1egg

Weigh flour, sugar and cocoa and put in a bowl. Melt margarine and pour in, add egg.
Stir well. Press into a shallow baking tin, brush the top with water and sprinkle with sugar. Cook for 25 - 30 mins on 190 C for 25 - 30 mins.

I made this for the first time today, my DD has been nagging me for ages to make it as its her favourite. My aunt provided the recipe, (she is a school cook) however the proportions were to feed 75! So with the aid of my calculator I came up with the above. It was dead quick and easy and tastes scrummy.
I also have a recipe for chocolate cracknell which uses cornflakes. When Ive done the sums with me calculator again and had a go at it, Ill post it if its any good.

The pudding dinner lady used to always give me the corner piece which had 3 sides of jam or syrup. I never knew why, did she know my mum? But if you are out there cookie thank you!

I have been trying to find the recipe to bake the type of biscuits I used to eat in school at lunch time.

I'm 30 years old, so we're going back 19 years and onwards. And instead of wasting money buying packets of small biscuits for my household every week, i'd like to bake the type of biscuits we ate in school. They were big and obviously made with the minimum of ingredients but huge and delicious.

If there's any dinner ladies or school cooks out there that could pass on the recipe i'd be more than grateful. Apart from the fact that i'm trying to budget, I have the worse craving for them!!
