I was feeling disappointed at how small the car boot was today, then I found a gorgeous Monsoon angora wraparound cardigan for £1 and a pretty Hobbs pink cardigan for 50p :j The Hobbs one is my size so not sure whether to keep it, but on ebay they have sold for £13, £18 and £25, (all used) :D The Monsoon one is too small but is beautiful, I need to start looking more for anything for ebay rather than stiking to stuff I would wear as then I have the dilemma of whether to stick it on ebay or not

I went to day and got a Per Una skirt - 50p, Per Una Dress BNWOT - £1.50, and Per Una Shirt - 50p. All will go on ebay tonight and I'll see how they do.
Got very funny looks from the woman selling the dress as its only a size 8 and I'm more a 18/20! She just said "its very small"! Didn't like to tell her it was for ebay!
I also got a Laura Ashley dress for £1 BNWT RRP £110 but I'm not sure how well it will sell on ebay as there wern't many bids on the ones on there. I will save it till nearer Christmas as its more a party dress so I've put it away till then.
I'm at my sisters next weekend so I hope she has some car boots near her on the Wirral, anyone know of any?

Hi all, did our car boot, managed to sell all of the big cumbersome stuff that was cluttering up our house.;)

We've got a system, shift, sell, what doesn't sell, charity shop, then get the next load of clutter out for the next car boot.:D

Felt good but tiring, effort is definately needed but worth it.

Right details, we made about £70.00 odd profit...:j after pitch fees, float money being put back and money I spent.:o

Bestest, bestest, bestest find was me wandering over to a neighbouring stall and finding 2 Le creuset pans, a large frying pan and a saucepan with lid for ........da....daaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........£3.00 for the pair.:T:T:T:T:j:j:j One is green, one is brown and I'm so happy, big cheesy grin on my face today.:D:D:D:D

Also managed to get 8 Terry Pratchett Discworld series for £3.00.:D

I was in a charity shop earlier in the week and they wanted £2.50 each for second hand Terry Pratchett books, gave them a miss.

So a tiring but productive day, unfortunately our local isn't on next week so we'll have to wait a few weeks for the next one.

  • Triker - good news on your profit and particularly on your Le Creuset find. Did your clothes sell well?

Think so, the girls sold them, I just said a quid for some with tags (new) and 50p or 20p...... I'm a bit rubbish with clothes 'cos I'm happily scruffy.:D

My aim, get rid, I understand theirs profit out there but our house is so cluttered I can't see where to start.

Anyway a sale is a sale for me. Both myself and OH have being quite ruthless, he's been selling off his motorbike stuff (I think 5 bikes is a little too many.....and theres the 'projects' as well :o).

I can justify my le creuset finds though as I sold all my old kitchen stuff today, 6 huge casseroles, baking and gratin like dishes so there's space.:D

lol, love the comments on the size 8 dress! I usually say I am buying them for my daughter, niece, other half etc depending on the size and gender. Its worse when I drag my other half round, he says things like why are you buying that, it won't fit you! The best comment he made the other day was he wouldn't buy from car boot sales as they all they sell is old tat!!. I am constantly amazed at the bargains I find, most of them new with tags.

I can't believe the bargins too! I'm new to selling the stuff I find on ebay but kept passing up bargins because they wouldn't fit me without thinking that they would go on ebay for a bit more than I paid. I'm a stay at home mum so I have the time to list them and it earns me a few pennies!
I love this board as I can boast about what I have found, noone else I knows would go to a car boot sale - thier loss not mine!!
