We're doing a car boot (selling) tomorrow, weather permitting, and I've got tons of Next, River Island, Monsoon, stuff, some of which is brand new, never worn with tags.
What do you reckon pricing wise, we're not greedy, just want rid, I have nil interest in clothes.......would a quid each be too much?
Eldest DD will be with me and she IS interested in clothes and seems to find the bargains, I think I'll leave her in charge of the clothes bit.:D
Having a major declutter, doesn't seem to have made a huge dent in the [STRIKE]state of the[/STRIKE] house but its a start.;)
Where is your bootsale?! If you have River Island stuff for a quid I'm there!!0 -

I was bored and sitting at home one Saturday morning, when Mum came in from shopping, complete with a new coat that she'd got from the church jumble.
Get up there quick, if I were you, she says. They are selling EVERYTHING half price, and when I left, there was a moped still there.
On the lookout for a bike of some sort, I shot up there and there was a 98cc 1947 Francis Barnett, marked up as 5/- and reduced to 2/6p.
They were just closing and the little old lady said that if I wanted, I could have it for 1/3p
I jumped at the chance, gave her my money and cycled (Illegally, I later learned) it all the way back home.
Got it working and the only part not working was the lighting coil. I used to take that over all of the fields and footpaths that Summer. Gave me a huge intro into motorbikes and I kept that till someone offered me 27/6p for it.
That was back in 1965.
Best and most memorable 'find' at a Jumble sale that I have ever had. (and not a bad bit of profiteering, either)
Thanks Mum.:)
thank you i really enjoyed hearing about this :T0 -

£3's worth of "3 items for £1" clothes for my son
Next winter coat for my son £1
Mum got a pair of size 4 brand new Lilley and Skinner shoes 40s style for 50p
Slim pickings today as much of the designer stuff was "expensive" at this particular boot. Some adults Monsoon stuff was priced up at £5, Fenn Wright and Mason and its ilk £3 and Next jumpers for kids at £3. Even though in good condition, I blanched at these prices and walked on by but I guess if that's what you're into, they might be worth it....? I can't say I ever spend more than £1 for any item of clothing unless it's a coat or shoes in mint condition.0
