Great to hear about everyone's bargains, well I couldn't resist it, I was planning to stay at home and get on with some gardening but the thought of the extra boot sale going on without me.....
It was clouding over as I arrived, a few spots of rain and everyone, buyers and sellers hoping the heavy rain would hold back for a while which it did. There were less sellers than usual and mostly families with kids selling toys/games/kids clothes. I didn't buy much despite going round twice but i didn't want to spend much as I did buy lots yesterday.

    Today I bought

2 lap trays, brand new for £1 each, for those Saturday nights when we eat in front of the tv watching Britains' got talent:D

Bottle of Clinique Aromatics Elixir for £3

Loads of make up, Chanel/Estee Lauder/Dior, all like new, about 10 items for £3, she had piles of stuff, think she must work on a beauty counter. I should have looked more closely the first time I passed her stall:rolleyes:

Pair of Converse plimsolls for DD, like new, £2.50

A Stanley insulated food container 50p, I've been looking out for one for ages, DD can take some home-made soup to college in it.

Just not much there for me today, but never mind roll on next Sunday.

I'm off work this week so will have a mooch around the charity shops one day.

I love reading all your finds!!

I just wondered what you guys do when you buy thing's and they don't sell on eBay?? Do you continue to re-list until sold or just re-sale at a booty??

Here's some of the bargain's Ive got my hands on over the years... I'm lucky enough to live a stone's throw from brick lane which is home to many vintage stores to guide me in the right direction to what im looking for!!

    Bootsale/Chartity shop finds

Faux fur coat from TXMaxx still labelled for £1 - sold on eBay for £22!

Vintage style "t-dress" - bought for £2.99 sold for £32 on eBay!

Boxfull of Marvel/DC comics for £3 - got them home to find one was signed by Stan Lee (The Mavel creator!)...had the expense of getting this verified in a store in London... & now the boyfriend's nagging to keep...but I see on Ebay these comic's going for £100's!!

Black quilted chain bag £1.50, similar to the sort after gucci quilted and still made a £7 profeit on eBay!

What I thought was a cute little monkey teddy for £2... turns out to be some high end Japanese designer streetwear brand "Bathing Ape"...got £60 for it... my jaw was on the floor!!!

I finally I bought myself a purple Maxi-Dress in Primark about 2 years ago... seemed like a good idea at the time but never wore it! Couldn't believe it when I made double the money back...!!

I have made losses though... so dont be fooled, it's not all good! I never want the additional eBay fee's of having reserve's so let everything start at 99p!

I'm doing my first ever bootsale as a seller on Sunday - bit concerned as I dont want to let my things go for just 20/50p!!

Been great reading all you're finds!

Anthing that doesn't sell on Ebay I take to the charity shop, I don't have a lot of space to store things. I used to do boot sales but can't be bothered these days:D, and I feel I'm doing my bit for charity. I usually buy something while I'm in there too

I start everything at 99p too, I think everything finds it's price whatever price you start it at. Good luck with the boot sale, bear in mind most buyers don't want to pay more than £1, and 50p even better:D so if you want to get a decent price you might be better selling on Ebay.
  • Yey!Charity shop bargains this morning.I spent a grand totaal of £5.30 and worked out the resale value of my bargains to be just over £90.

Also the funny conversations you overhear, and it drives me mad:mad: when sellers tell you something cost them a lot of money and won't give you a straight answer..... I DON'T CARE how much it cost them new I just want to know how much they want me to pay for it!

    So true!!:rotfl::rotfl:

The other one that drives me mad is "that's old, that is" before they give a totally unreasonable price! Just because it's old doesn't mean it's worth something....

Or you look at a pair of slippers and they say "they're slippers". Of course I know what they are - do they think I'm stupid!

I recently picked up a second-hand necklace from a table at a car boot sale. I almost fell on the floor when the stall holder said, 'I wanted six pounds but you can have it for three'

On I went to the next stall where all clothes were 50p per item, I bought a few bits for my daughter.
