Been to two bootsales today, perfect weather for it, almost too hot so I was glad to come home. I only bought clothes today, I was on the look out for summer clothes for myself and found ladies of my size selling some nice stuff.

There was the usual mix of sellers, one lady who worked at Monsoon selling clothes for £2.50 each but she let me have 3 for £5. A couple of other nice stalls with clothes my size but £2 each which means I couldn't go too mad or I'd have no money left for the rest of the boot sale. But struck lucky at both sales, at the first a lady selling new and like new clothes (Per Una, M&S, Next) for 25p each (and seemed embarrassed to ask 50p for a new M&S jacket)....there were hoards of buyers when I got there so I think I missed out on loads of bargains but even so bought about 12 items from her total £3.:j
Similar at the second boot sale, one lady selling everything for 50p each, picked up some lovely clothes.

Tried everything on this afternoon, lots of things looked awful so will put on Ebay, but I've kept around 15 items so my wardrobe is looking a little fuller.

I'm always amazed at how much some people ask for things, I saw quite a few things I liked today but far too expensive for me. Also the funny conversations you overhear, and it drives me mad:mad: when sellers tell you something cost them a lot of money and won't give you a straight answer..... I DON'T CARE how much it cost them new I just want to know how much they want me to pay for it!

I'm on the lookout for an ice cream maker and a wok so fingers crossed I'll see one soon. Still undecided about going to one tomorrow, seems a shame to waste the chance but really should get on with some gardening and DH has the day off so better spend a bit of time with him, we see very little of each other.

Have a lovely bank holiday y'all:D

The sun was shining and the carboot sale was huge this morning - loads of sellers and loads of buyers. I heard one lady seller say she had taken £90 within the first half an hour of getting there.
    I bought:
2 books - 50p each. I'll read them then put on Amazon
Funky blue floral Tayberry wellies - £2
Small red handbag - £1. Been after one for ages
    3 chunky decorative candles - £1.50

    Hello all car booters!
Went to a car boot yesterday and one today as well.
Glorious weather on sunday, they were turning away buyers that turned up in cars, and sellers in the end. I got:
Kodak easyshare digital camera: £1.50 (One of these sold for £19 on ebay)
Two african drums: one was £2.50, one was £1 (I collect them)
Encyclopedia of popular aquarium fish: 50p
Two lego football sets: one was £3, one was £1
20 football magazines for my son: £2 (They're that price each in shops so I was very pleased)
The sims 2 and expansion pack: £4

The car boot today was a lot smaller, but I got an olympus digital camera for £3.60 ( It was starting to rain so I didn't wait for change) and it sells in excess of £20 on ebay, and I found 4 duracell rechargeable batteries in the box, they're already coming in handy.

I hope everyone else had a great weekend carbooting and charity shopping as well. :)

Thats about it unfortunately and I will be missing out next weekend as we are going to London to watch the Manic Street Preachers on Saturday night

So I will be trawling Camden Lock instead :)

Ooh great thread - can I join in as jumbles and chazzas are my most favourite hobby!

Goanmad - I LOVE reading about your finds - they sound like the sort of things I would leap at. I had been selling vintage clothing on and off for the past 18 years but my best ever rag merchant closed down and I gave it up last year. Most stuff I find now I keep!:o

It's so tempting to keep all my vintage finds but I just have to realistic sometimes, wear them once then stick them on eBay.
Loving the sound of those owls, BlimusOreilly!!

Had a bit of a heavy drinking session on saturday and went to the afternoon bootsale for a change. I got some amazing bargains:

Vintage "Tina" print by JH Lynch (in original white frame) £2:j
Alexander McQueen black leather bra new with tags £3
Urban Outfitters silk tribal print kaftan dress 50p
    Joseph jumper 50p
    Zara silk dress 50p
    Tribal print maxi dress 50p
Ted Baker man's floral shirt £1
French Connection green wool jacket new with tags £3
1970's black leather bomber jacket £3
Girl On A Motorcycle film poster £2
Cerruti straw and leather shopping bag 50p
    Primark leather gladiator sandals 50p
Turquoise silk camisole with paisley print 50p
French Connection retro print dress £1
    Black Levi jeans 50p
    TopShop Baxter jeans 50p
Huge 1970's era straw hat which folds up (ideal for festivals) 50p
1930's wooden tea caddy and matching biscuit barrel £1

    Today's haul was much smaller:
    2 x vintage Tootal cravats and a man's Tootal silk scarf £1.50
    Vintage leather cartridge bag £1
Accessorize wooden beads, new with tags 20p
......But we had lunch out and a lovely riverside walk so I'm not complaining!

Hope everyone else did well and looking forward to reading about more of your finds.
