  • Thanx for your replies - it seems they will probably fit her next winter then. Which is good because they are so gorgeous - black patent leather and suede with diamonte - little rock chick biker boots. However, the bad mummy in me is saying she needs boots for this winter -sell them! It's a real dilemma. As it's only just September I think I'll keep them for a month or so and then see how I feel. The little one loves them and screams to put them on everytime she sees them.

i've also got a sell/keep dilemma re. an original 1980s vintage jane shilton emerald green clutch handbag, with a great clasp. i'm assuming it will sell well on ebay at the moment especially as it's an 'in' colour.

i love it, but i know i won't really get the wear out of it.......dilemmas.....i know what you mean about selling them to pay for more shoes. i think i will sell the bag, as profit is profit;)
  • sounds like a bootleg. It could go for a bit of money (esp. if you get on sale before the offical cd comes out)depending how rare/sought after by fans or collectors it is but it's not strictly legal.

    eta: it is a bootleg

thanks for letting me know jesarose, i was wondering where they came from, they are so lovely i was well chuffed with me bargin, u sound just like me...i have sooo many pairs of boots and shoes...can't resist them when they are such a bargin n most of them have come from carboots, my mates are always borrowing them off me which is good coz i can't wear them all at once and at least they getting used instead of me just looking at them lol xxxxx

:DTwo peas in a pod! I have 80 to 100 pairs of shoes and boots but at least when your fix comes at one or two pounds you can justify it. I have a Carvela/Kurt Geiger obsession but really don't buy them at full price as its ridiculous. I got a nice pair of KG boots (new) from a charity shop for £6.00 a few months back. They would have been at least £120. The silly thing is I always had the same ones, bought on Ebay for £11 so I will probably sell one of them online as I really don't need two pairs:rolleyes:
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155
  • Crickey,I just had a look at my first couple of lots of charity shop bargain finds I am selling at auction on Saturday. Not happy with one of the lots descriptions in the auction catalogue so have just e-mailed the auction house to get them to correct it.Pedantic or what?
Its really weird seeing photos of my lovely stuff online though,it looks good, sorry to see it go now, especially my little beswick bulls and my spode.I will have to start collecting them all over again.

its a 12", record number is tr007 or tr07? Its nirvana live at reading, it has a black and white cover and the center of the record is just white. Hope this helps.

hello mate, that record is not the rarest but is worth a bit....
Put it on ebay with a £5.00 start (as long as the condition is good) it is a tune though (if i didn't already have it i would buy it from u!!!)
You should do ok! Make sure you put "nirvana rare and white label!") hope this helps mate.... You should get at least a tenner for it! :d
  • I popped into oxfam on the way home yesterday and picked up a juicy couture velour hooded top for £6.99, it was new with tags RRP $108!! On the same rail I saw a worn out whistles dress for £16.99, a primark dress £9.99, another primark dress £11.99 which was new with tags £14 and a monsoon evening dress £29.99.

    Hello gang!

Our Salvation Army shop had a "buy one get one free sale" on today so I got:

Warehouse paisley print silk dress with £48 store tags still attached
Vintage 1970's Van Heusen striped shirt (in original cellophane packaging)
2 x Next boy-short bikinis (with hygiene tags attached)
1x new NEW LOOK red frilly bikini
1 x new Next tankini top
Vintage 1960's Cecil Gee black wool double breasted trench coat
Van Gils navy blue cashmere overcoat (with tags attached)

    Total cost: £6.50 :j
The coats fit BF perfectly as does the vintage shirt. The bikinis are all my size and ideal for my weekly swimming activities. The dress will go on eBay.
