Hello gang!
Our Salvation Army shop had a "buy one get one free sale" on today so I got:
Warehouse paisley print silk dress with £48 store tags still attached
Vintage 1970's Van Heusen striped shirt (in original cellophane packaging)
2 x Next boy-short bikinis (with hygiene tags attached)
1x new NEW LOOK red frilly bikini
1 x new Next tankini top
Vintage 1960's Cecil Gee black wool double breasted trench coat
Van Gils navy blue cashmere overcoat (with tags attached)
Total cost: £6.50 :j
The coats fit BF perfectly as does the vintage shirt. The bikinis are all my size and ideal for my weekly swimming activities. The dress will go on eBay.
I'm not jealous , really....:D0 -
I braved the wet and windy weather this morning, plus having to contend with a toddler who insisted on walking, to come away from my charity shop trawl with absolutely nothing just a bad temper! I hate it when I get nothing, although it makes you appreciate a good day. Well done lucy!0

Didnt get out to sell at the local boot sale this morning but thought I would go later and see if anyone had braved the rain, hoping to buy something nice,no-one there at all 1 hour after start time so a wasted journey,or it would have been if I hadn,t spotted an A4 poster tied to the railings at the traffic light on the way home saying 'car boot sale today-this way<'.
Eventually found it in a little room inside a local secondary school and managed to spend a nice half hour there chatting to the sellers and spend £8 on myself.
I got 2 lovely Klimt framed prints,a blue stoneware dish and blue stoneware cat moneybank.I collect blue studio pottery and flow blue ware so just my thing.
Happy with my items and they are things I will keep just for me and not re-sell this time."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0 -

Todays finds from the [STRIKE]tip[/STRIKE] recycling centre:
a Dartington crystal ring holder, perfect condition, with label;
a heavy metal-mesh belt that is, well, heavy metal in style, too! Like this, but with eagles' heads on it rather than rhinestones:

a (totally mad) golf-bag style, brand new barbeque set the same as this:-
http://www.icoste.com/459_Garden-Tools/BBQ-Set-in-a-Golf-Bag-Northern-Tool-30603.htm
- still in its box from a local garden centre with price tag - £19.88:eek: and plastic protective coverings on. We'll get great use out of it, as we love to BBQ, even when the weather's grim, even though the 'golf' style thing is truly bonkers, it's a great quality set
Some pretty bone-china mugs for work, as mine keep being stolen
all for the princely sum of
£3Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0 -

We had an old fashioned 'ready reckoner' at home which my dad always told me was super valuable but I'm afraid I was a bit of a vandal when I was young and idioticso it's now no longer with us:mad:
