:TTop thread, I am only part way through reading it but I am loving, looking forward to redaing the rest later when the kids are in bed and I get an hour to myself:D But just wanted to add my finds from last week.

Mini Oven/Grill (brand spanking new) = £3.00 :D Was made up cos we camp and its perfecr for that! (would have cost £50 new)

Mini Lava Lamp (new) = £1.50

Per Una zip up cardie = 50p (only bought cos my daughter was cold, whilst there) (brill condition)

Pineapple hoodie = 50p (again. bought as daughter 2 was cold) (brill condition)

Gorgoues dress the puff ball style for my DD1 = 50p (think its designer, I dunno)

New Look canvass bag with badges on etc (brand new) = £1.00

Pair of zip up baseball boots (like Converse) = £1.00

Fashion jeweller star necklace = 10p

Gorgeous vase = 20p (has pride of place in my lounge)

Various books all 40p each, which is great as my DD1 is an avid reader and it gets expensive to buy new.

I am gutted though as the boot sale we went to last week, (newly discovered) has finished now for the season:cry: So will have to slum it at the other ones, where tbh are too big and a lot of stalls are just selling new tat. I never seem to have much luck at the charity shops around here either tbh. So I am now looking out for jumble sales/attic sales etc. I do love going the booty, found out that my MIL does too, which is great as she has a good eye for stuff and is happy to spend ages milling about:cool:

Hi everyone, today I was quite pleased, not that big but still got some great bargains:
2 Absolutely wonderful African wooden carvings, both around 1 metre tall. (I collect African stuff, such as drums and things so was ecstatic to find them for £3 for the both of them!)
The sims 2 and 9 expansions packs (all there with instructions and all working, for £5)
1Kg of lego, in a toolbox which will also get some use out of it, for £1
Mil.com boots: £2 (selling for £23.95 new on eBay)
A Marciano coat: £4 (Marciano seems to be very expensive)

Well done on everyone else's bargains!

  • Managed to pick a few things up today.

Got a huge box of stickle bricks for 5.00 (worth around 40.00 on e-bay but will let the girls play with them for a while).

    2 Keypers (80's toys) for 50p each , worth 10.00+ each on e-bay.

3 huge boxes full of ELC Happy Land (like fisher price little people) for 15.00

And a pair of new next jeans (childrens) for 50p.
  • Saffronsmum - I see I'm not the only one after ELC Happy Land :-) The lady I bought mine off today said she had loads at home, I did mention giving her my phone number but she didn't take it very seriously!

I have realised that the ELC Church I bought today came with the vicar and bride, but no groom!!!! will have to keep an eye out for one otherwise she's been left at the alter :-)
  • My eldest daughter got some Happy Land for her 2nd birthday (she'll be 10 soon lol) now her little sister plays with it instead & it's still very well looked after. I NEVER see any in charity shops, no decent car boots local to me, and it's far too expensive to buy new all the time sadly but I did get a HUGE box full about 5 years ago advertised in local paper IIRC I paid £5 for the lot then (I would say it would have been around £200 worth!!!!!)
