  • I bought a ski jacket for DD today,in a charity shop.It was only £4.99 and looked quite new, didnt notice until I got home that it still has all the tags on so it is actually brand new.Its a lovely 'iceberg' (palest blue) 'dare2be' snowwear jacket.Cant find the exact jacket online as it must be last seasons but I think I saved at least £40 on the original price.
Need to find matching trousers now.

Hopefully you will be in luck as im sure they get their winter stuff in soon and as most of TKMaxx is past seasons then you stand a very good chance. Then that truly would be a bargain suit Fingers crossed.

  • Just what is it about me and canadian stuff lately. The nicest things I have found all turn out to be canadian.
Does anyone here have a membership of artnet or askart.I bought a painting today in a junk shop and to be honest I thought I had had a bad day shopping today and bought a load of tat,BUT,I looked up the artist and I think this may be worth something. All the info I can find on previous sales for this guys work are marked subscriber only so I have to pay money to find out more and I am far too mean to do that.
So the artist is Jean Philippe Dallaire and its a watercolour, still life of purple and red anenomies in a pewter vase and a gold bowl sitting next to it.Its really big for a watercolour,A3 size.I bought it because I like the flowers but if its worth anything I will sell it to add to my wedding fund.
Anyone know anything about this painting or have access to those subscriber only art sites and can find some info for me?

I have finally got through the full thread and it was fascinating, especially above.

Did you ever find out whether it was worth anything?

I'm also in Ayrshire, are there ever any good jumble sales in this area. I used to go to loads when I was wee and remember how much I loved them. Never notice any now.

  • I have realised that the ELC Church I bought today came with the vicar and bride, but no groom!!!! will have to keep an eye out for one otherwise she's been left at the alter :-)

how funny... ive just been checking my two local freecycle groups (like i do most days) and there was a post asking for the happy land groom!
i thought ive read that before!

    hello fellow freecycler neighbour!
