I've tried a car boot sale to get rid of my extra items, however, never hold one with your young children around. I ended up buying more items for them than the number I sold. But the day was fun nevertheless.0

My DD bought 2 Jacqueline Wilson Audio CD's today for £3 (for the pair) from a charity shop, she's getting good at finding the bargains like her Mum lol

She is so thrilled, kind of makes up for the misery c@w in a different charity shop. I had picked out a top for me & had given it to my 3 yo to hold whilst I looked through some others, an assistant in the shop walked over to her grabbed (so my lo was crying!) the top from her & said out loud 'children should not be allowed to walk around shops like this holding stock getting it mucky' I was going to walk out but really liked the top & it was only £4 (Miss Piggy top, says 'glamour goddess' on it) BNWT which I thought was quite cheap. I had harsh words with the woman anyway but I really don't see what the problem was.
I also got a stunning white/black BNWT New Look top for £4 from a different charity shop, perfect for the Christening I'm going to in a few weeks.2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,0 -
That was very rude of her princessmoneysaver - good for you for telling her off too.
I just sold something on ebay for £14 which I bought for 10p from a jumble sale. It didn't fit me so I listed it on ebay. I'm so pleased it didn't fit me nowNot been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550 -
The top was an M&S sample stock top, it had BNWT M&S label on but no original price. The shop had a LOT of M&S stock like this, some had full labels but others had 'M&S sample' on the label instead of a full label. I can't find it online to show you but I fell in love with it.
There was also a nice jacket that would have gone lovely with the black/white top I bought from other shop but was thinking it was overpriced for charity shop (M&S full labels of £24.99, the charity shop was asking £19.99 for it!!!) with the womans attitude I left it. I have worked in charity shops & would never have grabbed items from a child like that, she must have seen me give it to her (from where she was stood) so knew my lo hadn't just grabbed at it from the rails.2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,0 -
70% of the RRP is the general pricing guide for charity shops, thats what ours do. I'd be cross if our staff spoke to customers like that, their kids too as they are little customers as well. Even if its a volunteer they should be told thats not okNot been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550
