Really put me off doing a CB TBH.
I will be honest, it depended if I liked the people, there was areally young couple with a baby who were interested in cookbooks, I let them have two cookbooks for baby food for 20p each tho they would have paid more.
I had an iPod dock which was in quite good nick, with box, which was a radioalarm with nature sounds, paid £90 but was originally asking £35, dropped it to £15 but people were wanting to pay just £5 for it. The one person who asked to pay the full £15 wanted it to be used with an iPod touch and I had to be honest and say I didn't now if it could be used with that so they left it.:ANSD November 1/20 :money:

It's so expensive isn't it? I thought she made a mistake when she said £10 so I nabbed it quickly! :j
(Btw Next do a copy of it called 'Flowers' which is pretty much identical and is £10 for 100ml, I've been using that for a while and people always think it's actually daisy0 -
Ooh thanks I will have a look at that next time I'm in town

Not quite 'central' but there is one in Swalwell (Whickham) every Sunday from 6.30am. Don't know if they are having one on Monday as well.
Also, Hexham has one every Sunday at 12noon. They are definitely having on on Monday aswell... a leaflet was being handed out last Sunday.
Hope that helps.0 -

I can recommend Hexham, it's held at the Auction Mart. I normally try to get there for 11.40ish as the queue to get in is maaassive!:j30/7/10:j

I can recommend earsdon near sainsburys and the red lion pub. If the weather is good its huge, Thats on a sunday. buyers can get in from 8am i think and theres hardly any traders so thats a massive bonus. Swallwell is sunday also but i found alot of traders last time although i havent been this year as i love earsdon. I think swalwell might have one on a monday too. Theres one at the Centurian sports centre in wallsend in the afternoon, i think sellers can get in at 1pm so it follows on nicely if you are at earsdon for a while.
Happy shopping. Im going to Malton for the weekend so im hoping theres some there!!0 -
My best bargain in recent weeks has to be a Le Creuset cast iron dish 50p in charity shop, as paying for it i heard the lady saying she'd been mugged the day before and had her pension stolen, not being able to afford to give her any money but feeling awful for her i brought her a pack of biccies to cheer her up and dropped them in as i walked back home. The next day i was clearing some garden rubbish at the dump, and i saw a man loading heaps of le crueset into the skip, the dump people wouldn't sell it to me (already had a buyer in mind) but the man dumping them gave me his last caserole dish which when i got home i realised was like new!! It's a 22" and i love it! Who says Karma doesn't exist?!August: £149/£150
Sept: £200

So ignore that rude woman, some people almost want you to give your stuff away, makes me mad when I hear a seller asking for 50p for something and the buyer tries to knock them down, I'd rather take it home too or give it to charity just on principle.
I agree - I hate in when some !!!!! tries to haggle over something that costs 20p!! I've even had one woman put an item priced at 50p in her bag and had me 10p without even asking me first!! Needless to say I made her put it back!! Cheeky moo!£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250
