wow you did really well, where is that boot sale please, Ive just moved to the West Mids and Im trying to find decent booties

    Hi Miss Laid.
The thursday boot sale is held at Mill Lane, Saredon Nr Cannock WV10 7LQ
There are loads around the South Staffs area every weekend.
If you're nearer Birmingham the Bassett's Pole boot sale held on a saturday is huge.

Don't forget to post any bargains - we like to share!

Did you do a complete garage refit or do you still have the standard garage door. I was thinking of using the garage to store ebay stock but as there is a slight gap under the garage door it gets dusty in there and can also be slightly damp in winter so would worry about spoiling stock?

Chezba - we rebuilt the whole room complete with a glass roof, hardwood floor and huge wooden French patio doors (bought off eBay, naturally!). We've even wallpapered one wall with fab designer paper, again an eBay buy. With all the natural light flooding in the storeroom also doubles as a great place to photograph the mannequins.

Like you, I was concerned about damp and didn't want to ruin my goodies.

  • thought i had a good bargain at the weekend, picked up a pair of designer sandals for 2.00, sold them the next day for 20.00 on e-bay, got an e-mail from the seller yesterday saying they are fakes , the lady i got them off of seemed like a genuine seller having a clear out and i never even thought of them being fake. So now instead of making money i have lost money and it has put me off buying designer items in the future (unless for myself).

Lets hope i find some real bargains this weekend .

Oh no, poor you! Was the buyer nice about it? My friend had the same trouble selling what she believed to be a genuine designer bag on eBay and to be honest it's scared me off buying designer label stuff at jumbles and car boots to sell on unless I can get it verified prior to listing.
If I do come across something too good to miss (like a Tod's bag for £1) I tend to sell at a car boot vaguely saying that it was a gift from a friend and then let the buyer make their own mind up.

The buyer has been great, they are sending them back and have only asked for a refund for the item (not the postage costs), i think i have been lucky this time but from now on i will only buy designer items for my use. And i must say they were bloody good fakes and will be keeping them for myself :D.

At the [STRIKE]tip[/STRIKE] recycling centre today - picked up a never-opened box of designer napkins and napkin clips - v v smart - black linen with stainless steel clips. Paid 50p. Price new looks to be about £35:eek:

Great for a smart dinner table - or a bloke who likes giving smart, chic, sleek dinner parties - all I have to do now is find one....
