I'm quite new around here, so I'm not sure about etiquette etc. But I noticed your comments, and am intrigued about why you think people should stop on your say so. After all, you don't appear to be a moderator? Or am I wrong?

    Just curious, that's all.

Because you are quite new, perhaps you should read the threads posted in the last week or so. There are certain members who are provoking others and that has to stop.

I am not asking people to stop on my say so, i am asking people to refrain from making spiteful comments - i think it is a fair reasonable request. Why should i have to read rubbish stuff?? It is just POINTLESS!!!

Normanmark you do not have enough information regarding the situation to make a valid point. At least stick to your original terms yourself and refrain from posting further comments. If you cant follow your own adivce, how can you comment on others that complain about professional sales advisors?

    thanks.

I'll post further, i have no restrictions here & i didn't think this 'episode' would go further than what it is. The advice i've given is perfectly fine, i have no qualms with what i said, my choice not to post is up to me, and i'm choosing to post again, so sit down bucko.

I think you knew full well what you was saying to the advisor hence why you would gamble such a stupid amount on bets that wouldnt come in (hence why you lost £5,600 :rotfl:). Post 25 in this thread would be bang on the mark in my opinion from all the information that you have given to people.

As for jealousy, i'll pass on that. I have no debt & you've not gained anything from this - so the only reason i can see for you shouting from the roof tops and being smug is that you've managed to cling on by the skin of your teeth. People in your situation would probably look harder at what they should do next time (ie. read your terms and conditions for the card, which binds to you every time you swipe it or use it in a transaction).

The problem in this world is stupidity & unfortunately no one can fix it, so i really don't hold out much hope for yourself sunshine.

Noah - you do not HAVE to read it - I suggest you to turn your attention to another thread to avoid your eyes from bleeding...

I was the OP and did not invite pointless comments. It was for benefit of other people who may have been told similar nonsense by such banks and lenders - and that they may find my experience useful to note.

I seemed to have attracted a bunch of uneducated jealous bounty hunters instead.

    pity.

Ok, I wasn't being critical, I was genuinely curious. But yes, I agree with your sentiment 100%.

It's stupid not to read something you are signing..... Isn't it? It's your own fault then if something untoward happens and you are not covered, because you signed!!

I agree with norman, use this as a learning situation. Not that you'll be able to get another 0% card for a long time lol (i know you are trying to get your default removed but i won't be holding my breath for that ;) )

thanks for that nomanmark - being patronised is always the lowest and most desperate attempt at attention. You are posting again because you cannot help yourself - you just "have" to be in with a cheap shot - it's what makes you tick..

My affairs are my affairs, you have no idea as to how this situation came about for me. It took 6 months to resolve and it wasn't until the 6th week that I realised that my bills were higher than I had been QUOTED.

If a car salesman QUOTES you £1,500 for a car, yet you've found £3,500 deducted from your account - will you complain and ask for an explanation?

What if the sales MANAGER says the car was never quoted at £1,500 at points you to the small print..?

See where Im coming from? If I hadn;t mentioned gambling, this would not be the result of the posts in this thread.

In fact, it was sa ports trading exercise - which didn't work out.

I was happy to make a years worth of £25 payments to MBNA as PROMISED by their sales staff...

only they changed their minds when I questioned it...

I see so thats a kick in the nuts for everyone thats claiming mis-sold PPI. I think you;ve managed to insult almost everyone in the forum.

Congrats Mr Self Absorbed .smug "butter wouldn't melt"...
