No, you mean you can afford to borrow money, agree to pay it back, lose it all like a complete mug, and then moan and cry unfair when you realise how much of an idiot you've been.

...oh and then try and boast that you are great because you think you've got it written off on an anonymous internet forum (whilst also saying that you couldn't give a 5hit about anyone's opinion on here).

You must have been some mug to lose £5600

i've been to vegas and blew more than that in one night before. Thinking about it I spent 4 grand on a ho for a weekend but you know what, as the OP has stated several times, I as the OP, could afford it at the time! Who are you to call him a mug?

Being a muppet doesn't give you the right to mouth off.....
    :o 2010 - year of the troll :o

Normanmark - I love your idea that somehow I spent £5600 trading sport was somekind of bad thing? It was my money. The fact MBNA gave it to me and I chose that is not your business to judge - I owe the money as an outstanding debt. IMO, that should forego the payback as they mis-sold the product to me by blurring the terms of service. I would not have used their service had they been upfront and honest about how it worked.

It's everyone's business to judge when you post about it publically. Don't want people to judge or comment? Then don't post about it, it really is that simple.

Really? If that was the case why not just use hard cash?

Its no big deal. Clearly though, YOU seem to have some kind of issue with it.

Get over it, move on and focus on your own PC existance.

I have no 'politically correct' existance, moral existance yes, but then i'm quite entitled to view my opinion as are you.

The only issue i have with you is your attitude (an example being my first post). Which i'm more than entitled to pull up or judge when you bring it all to a public discussion. As for a big deal, well i'm sure in the next few weeks it'll come to a head, but for someone whose made 20 odd phone calls and a lot of letters over the period of 12 months, i would of said this is somewhat of a big issue.

Nonetheless, do post back what happens with MBNA as i'd love to hear how it all went.
Thinking about it I spent 4 grand on a ho for a weekend

Speaks volumes right there. Maybe the £4k would have been better spent on some identidy fraud protection? ;)

I'd wish you would stand by your own words. Hyprocrisy at it's finest.

Nornamark - JUST because I use a CC for a transaction does not mean that I have no real money in my life. And what makes you think Im skint now? What makes ANY OF YOU THINK that I cannot affort to pay the card back?

I never said that losing it was a problem - I never said I couldn't afford to lose it either, I understand how it works, I work in that industry and if you all wanna continue with the MUG theme - thats fine, but understand this:

gaming against a house edge would in some respects constitute your "mug" opinion as mathematically there is no was of winning - so it should be used for entertainment purposes.

Trading on betfair does not have that house edge, its pure statistical trading and there was 5 of us involved, some gamblers, some maths boffins and some sprts boffins... (so to speak) - it was successul for around 4 months and it took that long before we actually lost the money - however, we made an interim profit and used it for other means. YES i used a card available cos that was the quickets route at the time.

i had money then, i have money now - my GRIP with MBNA comes in the shape of telling me one thing to BUY the product and changing their VIEW on that once the repayments are due. Its not a money issue, its a service issue which IF you actually read the posts I'd made you'd have seen that.

Affording to pay it back and choosing to make those payments are 2 different things. YES I am pleased that they wrote the card off because given the manner in which they sold it to me, the didn't deserve the luxery of being repaid.

Oh, but thats just MY opinion and as you all say, we are all entitled to that - arent we.

I HAVE NEVER ONCE COMPLAINED IN THIS THREAD THAT I AM BEING BILLED FOR A REPAYMENT. I DO COMPLAIN AT THE LEVEL AND NATURE OF ASKING FOR THAT REPAYMENT.

    end of boring-a*rse thread
  • I bank with HSBC and know that! As for shabbey, well they are thriving cos of the years of mismanagement of accounts and fraudulent trading so don't worry about those.

simple simon met a conman going down the street
simple simon said to the conman 'what a lovely place to meet'
the conman blinked and strutted his stuff, simon totally bliss
until the conman walked away, and simple simon was amiss....

i'll let you try and figure that one out being you have so much spare time to talk rubbish!

How old are you? 8? This type of thing would be pathetic in a school play ground. You are showing how childish you are by your comments.

it does take a bigger man to walk away and ignore though SImon.

It seems you have let it affect you, so you are yet to take it in your stride.

it's only a nagative comment, if you choose to acknowledge and accept it as one.

I think you should read the thread from the beginning (not least because it's quite a good laugh) - unless I've missed something cashpig/AJ3456/whateverhisnameis hasnt said there was a problem with the CCA at all, just that they have claimed they were told one thing on the phone and then the written contract (which takes precedence) was different. Nothing that has been posted in this whole lengthy saga has suggested the CCA was incorrect in some manner

AJ3456...? at least get my name right ~retard~
