Glad you're enjoying it. I do try to keep both the hatred and arrogance as light hearted as possible:D
Now I really must go to bed, Big Bird is waiting.
lol. There was a woman who used to live opposite me that people called Big Bird, although I'm sure you have more taste than that
This thread is another of those that have brightened up a dull sunday evening :beer:0 -
Why would you come here and boast about your triumphancy in having a debt written off and recorded as a bad debt? This is not something to be pleased about.
Secondly-what benefit do you get, or anyone else for that matter in telling us? The simple fact is that you run up a debt and you chose not to repay it which surely when you get a credit card-aside from breaches in terms and conditions...you are aware that what you borrow has to be repaid.
I just laugh at your attitude to be honest and look at the state of our economy and think-yes....there really are lots of people like you out there whilst I bust a gut trying to repay my debts and live to the penny.
**Scousebird sighs**
How annoying!Loan-£3600 only 24 months of payments to go!!!
All debt consolodated and cards destroyed!!
As D'Ream would sing 'Things.....can only get better'!!!0 -

Have they misled you or have you just not understood the terminology used??
I'll admit this much - I am not an idiot but then I am not familiar with all the terminolgy either. This is why I ask so many people (CSA for example) to clarify in simple basic terms what the deal is. Their crime? Choosing to paint it and dress it up as something that it is not.
Most people take it for face value and get accused of not reading the terms and conditions. Most people do not understand the terms and conditions and rely on helpful CSA to explain in simple language the deal. WHEN asked (and asked repeatedly) to clarify and inform me of any other stipulations associated with it, and they choose to tell me only what the goods bits are - then the I consider that to have been deliberately misled.
The manager has told me certain things on the phone and used certain terminlogy - of which I asked her to explain and tell me what it all means,
When i am told that the outstanding is to be "written off" the account "zeroed" and that "I will not have to have to pay it back" sounds str8 forwad to me. If this is only a half truth, then once more I have been told what they want me to hear.
They are the professional who know the score inside out and have a duty to inform people ESPECIALLY upon request, the whole situation.
If I am chased by a DCA, there will be the BIGGEST complaint yet. I spent 20 minutes on the phone with her about this and you would have thought what with all the questions I asked, that if a DCA was going to be used and that I still owed the money, then that would and should have been told to me. I gave her every opportunity to tell me the full situation. I am not an expert - hence why I am on here.
And for you ppl out there that wanna slate me for being pleased that I have a "victory" - then being envious and jumping on the haters bandwagon is weak. Being a "I pay every penny I owe" as some kind of superior human status is pathetic.
I pay what I borrow, if it's all done right. I aint paying anything if Im taken for a mug in the process.0 -
Well if this is the case then once again they have misled me.
I do not care if this is the case but I will not accept that this account is a valid one and it has been totally mis-sold from the start.
To be told something and know that there is more relevent information to add but they hold back and can see that you partially understand or think you understand it to be something else, is inexcusable.
I hope you don't own your house/furniture/tv/dishwasher because if you do a DCA really won't care about your "ongoing issues" with MBNA (aka Bank of America, one of the biggest companies in the world who need every penny they can get at the moment)...once the debt is sold on by MBNA for say 10p for every £1 then the DCA will get the money however they can, they don't want to loose out!0 -

Urm no, this is not correct. DCA's have no power to remove your belongings or enter your premises whatsoever. Only court appointed bailiffs can do this.
Provided Cashpig74 has the evidence that MBNA have agreed to write the debt off (preferably in writing) then no one will have any case to demand any repayment and it wouldn't even reach a court of law.
People really need to be aware of their rights. You do not have to deal with DCAs however unpleasant they try and get.0 -

I see you have gone for old faithful - the spurious comparison to a serious crime.
I really don't think I have the energy to debunk this BS again tonight, see you guys tomorrow. Goodnight.

I see the moderators are allowing this farce to continue, hey Mister aj2703, where is your side kick tonight?Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0
