They should last along time, you will become adicted to the as well, I know that sounds barmy but trust me :D

I Use them dry for dusting, you don't need polish so that saves some dosh and wet for well wet cleaning :D

I'm not sure if its been said, but when you wash them, don't use fabric softener (if you do) it kills them.

Well thanks to the tips on here my new carpet looks new again!!! Over the weekend my dog had a bad case of the runs:eek: So I cleaned it up but when it dried you could still see the brown stain (on my light beige carpet). First thing to do come to my favourite forum:D Did a search, then armed with stardrops and a microfibre cloth, cleaned up the area again and Hey Presto......cant even see where its been......................Thank you moneysavers, I am thrilled!!!!!!:T
  • Hummm one of our cats (none of them are owning up) left us a little treat behind the sofa. The stain it left didn't come out with our special cat stain cleaner. Didn't think to use stardrops... Not got a microfibre cloth, but I'll try the stardrops out on it. Thanks! :D

Did you use neat stardrops??? Got a couple of marks the kiddies have created on the lounge carpet, did think about using stardrops but was worried about it.

thought I'd post on here as it's a newer thread

I seem to remember someone saying that Stardrops was soap based so better for the environment than the more chemical cleaners. However I mixed up a reasonably strong solution recently to tackle a grimy shower tray and found that it set me coughing just like Cillit Bang. Does anyone know where I can get more info on what's in it? - label not particularly informative
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

To be honest I think its the combination of stardrops and the cloth, I did wash it with stardrops to start with and the stain was still there when it dried. When I used the microfibre cloth with the stardrops the cloth seemed to soak up the stain. I did dilute the stardrops with warm water. I was really impressed

thanks for pointing me in the direction of the ingredients. (I've been away for a week so haven't logged on for a while). I see that it actually says it is soapLESS. Ah well - it works!

I've never had this happen - maybe it was the strength of the solution? Or possibly the type of spray bottle you used? Some can make a very fine spray. Personally, I don't like spraying in any type of enclosed space or above my head unless I'm wearing a mask. If you don't fancy wearing your knickers over your face like Anfea, I bought a pack of 25 in the 99p shop or Poundland (can't remember which). Stardrops certainly seems to be less harmful than a lot of the other cleaners, and kudos to them for posting their entire ingredients list, which is a lot more than many other manufacturers do.
