I let them dry as they are and when they are all used up I soak them overnight in a bucket with Oxy stuff and then wash them on their own on a 40 degree synthetic wash. They smell fine afterwards. Have only ever bought mine from Wilkinsons.

I have alot of cleaning cloths and every week I put the dishcloths in to bleach then throw them and my microfibre cloths (I have 6 at the last count:o ) in the washing machine on a 60. I use bio washing powder and NO conditioner. I've not had any problems with mine except them sticking to my hands when my hands are really dry or chapped :oCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0

I was going to wash my micro cloths with the towels today as I don't use softner with the towels (thanks MSE).
Nicki do you put them in with anything else or do you have enough for a load?0 -

I tend to have enough for a half-load so I keep my dirty cloths in an old pillowcase. Whenever I have a clean through (usually once a week) I take another pillowcase with me and put the dirty cloths in that one rather than carry the one thats been standing around with me. It also stops me having to carry the cloth that I use to clean the back/seat of the toilet with me when it might come into contact with the cloth I'm using to dust;)
I only wash the cloths when I am down to my last 2 dish cloths, so between the mountain of cloths I have and the 4 cotton pillow cases, I don't feel too guilty about putting them in as a half load, as it's usually economy wash I use which is about an hour long.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I've just got a pack of 20 large microfibre cloths (all yellow) from Costco for £10.9?? - great bargain. They are in the motoring section next to sprays and things for cleaning cars. The ones in the household cleaning section are just the Scotch-Brite ones which are £10.00 for 5.
So - we get half and MIL gets the other half.

Hope it's ok to bump up this thread?
I've just converted but need to buy more for the toilet, floor etc.
Now where do you store your cloths? If you clean your toilet everday where to you store your toilet cloth? I dont do windows/mirrors/dusting everyday, just once/twice a week so that's not a problem. I like everything out of sight so dont like hanging cloths on sides of kitchen / bath units iyswim. Right now the sun is shining so they can go outside but what about when its raining?

I have a hidden radiator in my utility room where I dry damp microfibre cloths that don't need to go in the wash immediately - otherwise, I just bung them straight in the washing machine, as I've almost always got a wash going that they can join in with. After that, they go on the secret radiator if they can't go on the line.:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:Weight loss since 2 March 10 : 13lbs0
