Morning Guys!
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((smokey))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Hardup Hester-I think you do very well on your small budget. Hugs.
Didnt have a good night last night and in alot of pain this morning. Nurse will be here around 8am, so not too long. DD is off school for the 3rd day with "womens" trouble and she will have to go back to GP for some different tablets as these are awful. She asked yesterday if she could have a hysterectomy as she has had enough:eek:
WM has been on twice already. OH is hanging on line before he goes out. DW has been on and emptied. House was cleaned yesterday-so all ok.
DD is here, so I said to OH to go and do something for a couple of hrs. He has credit on his golf card that he was brought, so will probably go to the driving range.
I posted on the utility board the other day as our quarter bill for G&E is £515:eek:    and our DD has gone from £108pm to £152. People are saying that thats very good as we have heating on 24/7. Last night OH said we would turn heat off through the night and the temp dropped to 14c and when I woke at 2am, I couldnt move as I was frozen....so dont think we will do that again.
Anyway, I am rambling.
Hugs to all.

Morning :hello:
I'm giving up three quarters of my OSing. There's 4 of us in this house, I've decided I'm the only one worth OSing for - for now, at least. The kids leave their TVs on all night, leave all their washing thrown all over their rooms til there's nothing clean left then expect me to wash and dry their fave clothes within an hour, etc etc etc. The more I do, the less mr tru does.
"Why do you have to buy frozen wedges? There's plenty of potatoes at home"
"Oh, they don't cost much really"
Now, I don't expect everything to be split 4 ways - they all have jobs and I don't. I LIKE to be left to get on with things, especially on days where the clock says 1pm and I've got everything done then I can make cards (which sell - they forget that I actually make money too ).
I had a revelation yesterday. I've got more blood tests on monday but the doc is going to find nothing wrong with me. I've got no patience, so when the other trus do/say something ridiculous (and it usually IS ridiculous), I can almost feel my blood pressure risingSo I go from calm to explosion in seconds  I'm not talking about real problems (I stay calm then, and will happily spend hours sorting it out), I mean dramatics that I'm expected to fix  So the stresses, tiredness and not sleeping is caused mostly by them, and a bit by me (for not realising what was happening and putting a stop to it).
I have a shopping list for MY food, it's basically a list of ingredients (for quiche, cottage pie etc). Anything else bought is nothing to do with meI am going to be more OS than ever for myself, they can [strike]!"£$% &*^[/strike] sort themselves out.
I'm off to find the thread on OS beauty stuff.Bulletproof0 -
Tru - good for you but I hope it wasn't me being a bolshy b*tch that influenced you
Your DH will never let me come round again
Friday today - so it's take the oldies shopping, they drove me nuts yesterday and I only had to put up with them for 30 minutes. There's loads I need to get and I haven't made a list so I'll have to do that soon.
It's a beautiful day though so at least I can enjoy the sunshine.0 -
Morning all! :hello:
Well, I got a great (belated) birthday present on Wednesday when Dave's Aussie cousins turned up on the doorstep! At 7.30 in the morning... they'd had a camper-van nightmare on the way back up from Cornwall on Tuesday night and hadn't been able to tell us they were coming! They've gone up to Lincolnshire now, flower-picking still, but I think they're getting a little fed up with doing 'rustic' backpacker jobs and they might get proper jobs for a little while soon. Stu is an optician and Zoe is a teacher, so they're hoping they might find some temp work along the way.
Guess what? I have an interview on Wednesday! At the Camping and Caravanning Club. I'd really like to get it... please cross your fingers for me! It's 26 hours per week. I just feel ready for work again, and I think I can fit everything else around it quite nicely.
Kathy - hugs and congrats to your family, especially DIL2. Rhesus negative is nothing to worry about as long as they know! They'll give her an anti-D jab so her antibodies don't fight the baby's blood, that's all.
Tru - :grouphug: you sound so frustrated. If the others are out at work it's hard not to feel like a skivvy sometimes. And it's not good - you say it's not causing real problems now but it might in the future 'cos in my experience people will take the piddle more and more if they know they're getting away with it! I have 'ground rules' of the minimum I expect Dave to do; laundry in the laundry bin, plate cleared and put on the side etc. I'm very good at ignoring things if he just discards them wherever they happen to be. He only had to whine a couple of times that he had no clean washing before he realised I would only treat it as 'laundry' if it was in the laundry bin - otherwise it was just Dave's clothes on the floor for Dave to move! I keep the place clean, of course, but I'm not running round after him 24/7!!!! Maybe set yourself a 'maximum' amount of running around you are willing to do. So: I will do your laundry, so long as it is in the laundry bin. I will cook your dinner, so long as I am cooking something I want to make. I will let you piddle your money up the wall on potato wedges, so long as it is your own money that isn't needed in the regular housekeeping and so long as you cook them yourself etc. If you're running round catering to their every whim you're not a wife/mum, you're a servant! And I know it's hard, I love the catering to every whim bit for so long, then one day I wake up and realise: I. Am. A. Doormat.
Anyway, ramble, ramble, ramble. I have been spring cleaning and I am getting addicted to ebay again. Dave has got in on the game and asked if he could help! Hehehe I'm gonna make him sort his fishing gear out then send him up into the loft - I am so clumsy, I've nearly broken my neck up there about a dozen times!
N9eav, enjoy fishing!
Kathy, yes, French bureaucracy is a blimming nightmare!
Pen-Pin, sounds like a huge bill, but if you need the heating on for your health it is money well spent!
Hugs to all, have a good day xxx0 -
Tru - ((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))) to you hun I know the feelings well  I have pretty similar things going on here. I actually almost enjoyed being ill in bed last Sunday with a sicky bug just for the rest
Not such a busy day today so I might get some cross stitch done this afternoon if I'm lucky. WM been on once so one more load to go then I can get it all to dry. Sweet & sour chicken & rice for dinner, no idea what's for lunch I'll see what inspiration strikes me!
(((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))) to anyone who needs/wants them & enjoy your Friday.

Morning all,
Today I just need to put the 2nd coat of satinwood in DD2's bedroom and woopie it's finished. Will make up the bed, replace the furniture, clean the window and hang some pictures.
MIOLIERE, DD2 is Rhesus Neg also and had the injection, it's just incase any of the baby's blood mixes with hers, if that happened her body would reject the baby. DD2 has been monitored throughout and has been fine.
Only 4 days to go, Eeeeeeeeeekkkk. She really is OS as she is having a home birth and this is her first baby. Y/day she went to work for 6hrs. The couple she worked for were in a pickle so DD offered to step in. She's babysitting for them tomorrow night. Now that's what I call a wonder woman.:A
Thanks to all of you who think I am, but I'm sure Wonder woman didn't get home and lie in a candle lit hot bath with a chilled bottle of wine for an hour.
I've done some jacket pots for DD and DH for lunch, scooped the potato out and mixed it with spring onions and cheese, it's bubbled and browned so will pop in micro when needed. Dinner is leftover lamb with bubble and squeek.
No time for making pud so will present DH with a plate of grapes and run. :rotfl:
Will catch up later, meanwhile hugs and congrats to those in need.0 -
Moggins, yes it was, a bit
And DH will do as he's told :rotfl:
I know so many women that are 'girly' and I can't be doing with all that, I'm the type to jump in the shower and go, and sit in the mud to do the weedingSo I have lots of mates (good for going out with but I have nothing in common with them really), they're almost horrified when I answer the door with no make-up on and a bit of compost in my hair :rotfl: but not many actual friends who 'get' me and understand where I'm coming from. I generally get on better with men. But because I'm a stop-faffing-and-get-on-with-it person, I find it easier and quicker to do things myself.
Just had another revelation - I'm a control freak
Thanks to Moggins, SilverCharming and Sunnygirlthough I don't do hugs in real life, lol
Well I've gone way off topic so I'll shup up nowBulletproof0
