Hi,
I'd expect them to reply same day within office hours, or next day afterwards. If you still haven't received a reply, rather than contacting the hotel directly, phone Central Reservations on freephone 0800 405060 and ask to be put through to Guest Relations, who will chase the hotel for you without you having to pay for the phone calls.
I just did this, but they just told me the phone number for the New York one, oh well.0 -
Cheers for the heads up - just booked a night in Edinburgh at the HIE Royal Mile (incl breakfast) on the weekend just before christmas using the F&F discount - cost £69 down from £92 (-25%).
Thats a double room with sofabed for me, the wife and our 6 year old.
Now just gotta keep an eye for cheap train tickets, so I dont have to drive.
EDIT: Just managed to book return train tickets from Newcastle for £25.60 with our Family railcard.0 -
Thanks very much. Just saved £40 on a room in London in December.0

I notice the F&F voucher still has expiry date of 30 September 2009 on it! I hope that won't be a problem?0

I have just downloaded the vocher and found this on it:Reservations must be booked on the Friends and Family Promotion reservation website between September 30, 2009 and December 31, 2009, and must be made in advance of travel and are non-refundable, as determined by each hotel.
So long as you print out the latest voucher & book before 31.12.09 you should be ok. I've saved ££'s during 2009 booking with this link.

Fantastic!!!!!:j:j
I wanted a 2-night stay and was offered £130 p.r.p.n. but got it to best price offered was £92p.r.p.n., THEN used friends & family and got it down to £57.75p.r.p.n, saved £144.50
P.S. I wouldn't have made a booking at £260 but at £115.50 kids get a half-term treat.0 -

I always try all links on the first page from this thread and see which one is the cheapest, sometimes friends and family is cheaper, sometimes 241.0 -

Do you think someone from HI reads this and went and changed it between 7:45 and 9:17?
Thanks for the heads-up. I've reprinted and have no worries now!0 -
Hi, I booked 2 rooms at Holiday Inn, Mayfair for end of November, was going to use F&F, but when I came to pay, they don't take switch on website, so rang reservations who gave me the two rooms for the same price but also included full english breakfast. When I first started looking the rooms were £150 each, I got them for £89.25 each, so a great saving!0
