I'd expect them to reply same day within office hours, or next day afterwards. If you still haven't received a reply, rather than contacting the hotel directly, phone Central Reservations on freephone 0800 405060 and ask to be put through to Guest Relations, who will chase the hotel for you without you having to pay for the phone calls.

Have you not checked out the 2for1 offers with Holiday inn...if so and haven't found anything..perhaps you find something here:

I used the two for one above, got it for £50 a night, right in the centre!

Just tried the link, under the 'find a hotel' on the left hand side, click rate preference and then select 'Exclusive 2 for 1'

The web-site yesterday was having a glitch.

Seems to be fixed now.

Anyone know of a good rate for Gatwick Airport.

2 adults.

drive down 22.11.09 to fly that night. Return to hotel on 30/11/09 for i night (preferably inc breakfast)
Leave 1/12/09

Parking to be included.

Obukit, you have done me a real service with your great advice. I only found this forum eight hours ago, joined (and asked a question) seven hours ago, found this thread an hour after that, and suddenly found that I needed to book a hotel right here in Australia for our holiday weekend. So I looked up the Holiday Inn on the "normal" website: room for 4, S178.50. I asked for a seniors discount, and it came down to $AUD168.50. Then I looked up THE SAME ROOM on your "Family and Friends" tip: suddenly it's $133.50. No need to ask which page I used! Thank you thirty-five times!
