Free £20! Urgent, just open a savings account

I've just sent my £1 cheque away, my last address was a BFPO but thankfully it didn't seem to mind at all.
My Acc/Cust No came up during the process so no dramas for me there.

Opened 2 accounts, one for DH, one for me, AOK, no additional info required, have just got the confirmation e-mails to send in the cheques. Will update when the £20 bonus gets paid in.

I applied for this before seeing the bit about sending a cheque for a pound. I don't have a cheque book and don't want one. What's the point of opening an online account online and giving bank details to then have to send a cheque. Daft.

Just done this, I don't have a chequebook.

Can I goto my bank and have them write me a cheque?

OOps just got my email but submitted hubby's before mine and still not got his??

My email arrived dated 31/12/1999 00:00 so if your email doesn't appear to have arrived it may be because its date has caused it to be sorted to the bottom on your inbox.

This is not fair at all.

I have a Co-op Cashminder Account, My Wife has a Nat West Step account. These are the closest to current accounts we can open and as neither account gives you a Cheque Book, they won't let us open an account.
