Free £20! Urgent, just open a savings account

I've received both welcome pack + direct debit letters
Logged into my account online and they have credited my £1 but no £20 :huh:

They did say 28 days for the £20 originally though, didnt they ?

Yep, I'm in no rush. At least they have confirmed I will be getting it

Hmmm. I havent had an email mentioning £20. I definitely did this before they closed the offer but I dont have any way of proving it.. :-(

I just went back to their email and at the end of it in small print it does say

"[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]The cash gift will be credited into your account within 28 days of your welcome pack being issued"

I got my welcome letter dated 10th March 09, so I should receive my £20 by 7th April 09. I will keep you all informed!

it says you need to fund your account by 31st march to get the free £20 but do they include the £1 opening chq as funding the account? or do you need to make a further payment into it?

Hi All

I thought I had sent off the correct documentation but they have sent it back wanting a certified copy of my passport or a credit card statement (original)

I cant work it out my better halfs has been opened all ok !, shall I juts send the copy of the passport off again and the original of the credit card statement ? I am on the electoral roll as is the missus, have credit already etc , why are they trying to verify me i feel like i dont exist !

Is it possible they are throwing a random number of obstacles in the way to avoid paying out too many £20 ??!

ive not had any problems although i couldnt get a straight answer if the £1 opening chq counts as a deposit to get the £20. they said you get your £20 within 28 days of activating your account
