  • Put my £1 cheque in at the beginning of the month to open the account. Got a courtesy call a couple of days ago as I had queried no £20 Promotion and have now checked online.
    Yes, it's there :j £21

Now do I leave it or presumably go along to a branch and withdrawn it and trust to luck on this week Lotto?

Thanks Martin :money: for alerting us to this loophole.

    Cheers :T

Got mine! For those wishing to transfer it out it's not immediately obvious but there is a 'move my money' option on the top bar of orange buttons once you've logged in.

You should have picked a PIN and memorable date when you signed up. Click the Login button on the site and enter your customer number along with your surname. Then on the next screen, use the number buttons to enter your PIN numbers and memorable date.

    I got my 20 pounds yesterday.:j
But it seems that they will debit my current account every month. Is it possible to change the transaction frequency somehow?

Just checked my account, got my £20 too. !!:T:T and now I am going to be a regular saver, maybe small at times, but nonetheless, a saver.

Yep! It worked but since the interest is a good deal more than I am getting elsewhere, I will continue to use the ING Savings account. The flexibility is terms of moving cash in and out suits me fine.

I also just got confirmation of £70 on Quidco for signing up for O2 broadband. Since this costs me £7.64 a month, I have got a good part of the year's subs back (when Quidco pays up, that is).

Cancel the DD and set up a BACS or SO instead, this way, you say how much, you say when and you can change it anytime you like yourself if you bank online.

I haven't checked the T&C yet, but if it is true they will debit your bank account every month, then this is very naughty, because they said in their offer that they only needed the DD to verify that you had a valid bank account, I didn't see any mention that they would then start helping themselves.

This could really mess up people on a tight income, as even £1 unexpected withdrawal could send them over their limit and then bang go the bank charges.

I have just checked via the phone as lost pin and my £20 is there!! I also asked about the direct debit and was informed that it is an open link INCASE you wish to send one to ING account it will not be taken automatically

    I've been Money Tipped!
Got my £20 as well, perfect!
Could not figure how to just move the £20 and leave a £1, so have moved the whole balance back to my bank account.
