A couple of other things to know about the morgan stanley card:
- not only is it hard to get, they are very stingy with the credit limit.
- be very careful about using it abroad - if you use it without giving them at least 24 hours warning they will refuse all transactions.
- I haven't checked recently but you can't change the pin number
- Customer service is always a slightly stroppy and unhelpful
Apart from that it's fine!
Regarding cards abroad. It's always good practice to inform your card issuer (whoever they are) that you will be using your cards abroad. The reason they may block your card if you don't tell them is to protect you from transactions from cloned cards. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

I have my own PIN on mine. Had the card a few years, I think they sent me an encrypted slip through the post to select my PIN and return by mail.0 -

Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -

I too have just received a letter from MBNA telling me that the Conran card is finishing at the end of March. Now I face a dilemma.... I spend around £15,000 per MONTH on credit cards (personal and business) and need a card where the cashback earned is NOT capped. Morgan Stanley and Egg cap their cards, AMEX do not, although the company I pay £12,000 to each month do not accept AMEX. Are there any other companies out there who do not cap their cashback rewards? Thanks in advance.0

As far as I could find out you have already mentioned the 3 cashback cards. Cash Back Cards are getting thin on the ground these days!
If you fly a bit - perhaps a BA Amex- spend £20k get a free companion ticket. Earnings are not capped.
If not - perhaps pick a good 'points' card?I am NOT a Woman! - its Overland Landy (as in A Landrover that travels Overland)

Also received letter from MBNA. Emailed Conran and received the following
"I am afraid that at the moment there is no plan to continue the Conran Credit Card with another provider and apologise for any inconvenience caused."

I have been accepted for the Morgan Stanley cashback card.
But what should I do after the 3% cashback ends on 1st July? Do I carry on using it or apply for an egg card or Amex?0
