Casrina - great news about the house :) What about Freecycle for curtains? And maybe some nice floral or patterned ones might turn up that have lilac as one of the colours in them, rather than plain? Also, ask if the carpets could be cleaned before hand - l/l may pay for it if they think you will be a long-term tenant ;)

Smokey - glad the boss came to a suitable agreement about your hols! Especially when they had changed the system :)

Essex-girl - how about writing to the Governors...? Or finding out who the Parent Governors are & collaring them?

Am about to go start the ironing heap.......want to make a Bran-flake malt-loaf thing from a recipe I found on here earlier (got a box that expired about 18 months ago in cupboard that neither of us eat and can't bear to throw away :p) and also some Bran-flake brownies a la Weetabix ones - hope they work! Will take all goodies into the office tomorrow to treat our Admin team ;)

Also need to make Sesame Street salad for lunches too.....tummy is now rumbling so will tootle off & hit the kitchen :D

:grouphug: to those who would like one

Well after a very difficult night dd b/f came back to ours, his dad droped him home here at 2 am. So im shattered today.
Hes ok though brused, embaressed, and very quiet
He was going too fast after all and it was raining with mud on road.
But no one hurt ,he had come across an earlier accident and shunted the statinary traffic.
Like my o/h says cars can be replaced people cant be.
Im just so tired lately we need some warm weather i managed to get into garden on monday and felt so much better for it.

    Evening all

have a bloomin migraine - spent a couple of hours in the dark first aid room at w*rk which helped then came home and straight to bed. i've been up for a bit to help dd(12) with her debating thingy - she's in an interschool competition tomorrow - but am still feeling lousy so am going back to bed in a bit. dd(12) sorted herself out for dinner with something from the freezer an then brought me up a cheese sandwich and a cup of tea - bless her

    hugs all round

    Hi all,

Very later to-day but happy birthday anyway Silvercharming, hope that it has been a good day:bdaycake: .

Chrisca...hope that your little grand-daughter will start to make progress soon.

    Sarah...hugs to all concerned

Csarina....hope that it all works out...maybe a garden would be good for OH, be lovely for you even if it is not decorated to your standards....you could work on it.

Sybil...sorry that you are still in pain, take care of yourself

Cold here to-day....went to a yoga class this afternoon didn't know until last week that it was on, will miss next week as I will be away...enjoyed it if some of it was a bit too 'supple' for me, will keep going....at €7 I thought it good value.

DD4 feeling the pinch of last few months of college, she is down about the possibility of getting a job here, talking about going to England, not sure if there are any more jobs there (?)

Tired tonight, must be effort of going out to-day. Hugs to all in need or want of one,

    Marie

It's another name for an alliterative pasta dish - today we are eating the letter P - Pasta with Pinenuts, Pesto and Pancetta....:D

Can also be Tagliatelle with Tuna & Tomatoes, Spaghetti & Special Sauce (generally this is a "whatever I can find in the freezer supper"!) or Curls with Cheese & Celery (those pasta spring things made into salad!)....

    Sorry! :o

It is fun, but the embarassing thing about calling it that is that there is only me at home - OH is working away & my DS's have both growed up & flown the nest.....and I'm on the wrong side of my early forties :o:p:D
