    Hi guys,

The rain has finally arrived and it is getting cold brrrrr! The heating is on and will probably stay that way until tomorrow morning before work. Talking of work my lovely boss has allowed 8 days to be carried over to next month so that I can take the Easter hols off with the kids and have a couple of days for myself. :T :T

Sunnygirl - the little so and so who is piddling is the 9 year old. The grief counsellor thinks it is grief related. Thanks all for the other suggesions they may prove useful if LO starts with similar behaviour. Aussie, :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: It's probably classed as child abuse - however it would be an instant cure:eek:

OS today, a dark wash later, the usual clean through, I am defrosting some braising steak so will throw that in the SC and prep the veggies and get that going before work tomorrow. Dinner will be a takeaway - a treat - as I have to take DD1 to brownies and collect her later and we pass a lovely takeaway on the way home. :D

Pen-pin, I hope you've felt better as the day's gone on. xxx

    Happy birthday Silvercharming

Gentlest of hugs to MSD, Sarah, Moggins, Snowy and all else in need.

Well best get off and organise DD1 in to her uniform, have a good rest of the day everyone.

    Smoky. xxxx

    Hello again

Floss - yes I might write to the school, she is making a fruit gateaux which none of us like either, they obviously do not change their curriculum for seasons or recessions.

    Chrisa huge (((hugs))) for DGD.

Had quite a good day, some paperwork done, kitchen windows and blinds washed, lounge windows cleaned. Morrisons went well and managed to avoid buying loads of stuff but I must think about Easter soon.

Just having a quick surf before go off and cook dinner, stirfry-nice n easy.

Well, I do not want to say too much, but we have been to look at the house and although it could do with a good clean its acceptable....there is room for the table in the kitchen.....a built in cooker and fridge freezer, anyone want to buy a almost new cooker????? double oven, halogen hob....would swap for a decent washer!!! There is also a unit in the kitchen that pulls out for all the tins etc....the living room has a laminate floor, stair carpet could do with being cleaned, its beige and a bit mucky, both bedrooms have built in wardrobes, the one in the back bedroom has been built over another cupboard, sounds daft, but it means that I can get all the stuff thats in the attic in that cupboard and still have loads of room for my sewing stuff....yay!!!!!!!!!! We have set the ball rolling, I have paid the fee for the searches etc and have to fill in the forms and take them back on Thursday with some other paper work........I have to live with the curtains etc that are there for at least 12 months, but that should not be a problem..........I will just shut my eyes to it............. I think the bedroom has pale lilac in which isn't too bad.

There was some quite weird panitings on the wall, which may well find themselves either in the loft or the garage.......

OH seems quite bulled up by the idea of having a garden again to look after, there is grass at the front, and the back is paved, and I can have a washing line again!!!!! Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!

Just keep your fingers crossed that everything goes through ok..........will keep you updated.

csarina - good luck with the house, it sounds like just the sort of project that would suit you. Why don't you post the size of the curtains? I'm sure there are loads of us hoarders around who may have spare curtains to fit.

Chrisca - I don't do prayers but am sending all good vibes and wishes little ones way.

Smokeybabe ((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))) I did have to chuckle at the peeing between the units though, DS used to be up and downstairs at all times of the night and I thought he was just using the loo as an excuse so I told him it had to stop. It served me right when he started peeing in drinking glasses and hiding them in his room.

Snowy - I was going to suggest the Blue Cross too.

Hi all hope you are having a good day. Can't believe how bad the weather is today in comparison to yesterday definitely makes you feel more negative.

Once I get the keys and can measure the windows I may well put out an appeal!!!!! We lived in the same style house but on a different road before we moved in here.........the front window in the house was 12' x 12'  massive, this house has had the large window blocked up so its much smaller but is still 12' wide so 3 widths of fabric in each curtain, I might wait and see what Dunelm have in their sale either in July or after Christmas........Not bothered about the back bedroom window, it will be my sewing room, but the front bedroom has a pale lilac carpet, so I have to take that into account, its not my favourite colour, but I will put up with it, at least the wall are not lilac............

Once I get my hands on the sitting room things will change in there, especially when the pictures have gone, I love neutral walls so will be looking for paint........... and polyfiller to fill in the screw and nail holes in the walls...

I think the doors in the kitchen were originally oak, they have also been painted, I have asked if we can strip them back and re-paint them, the walls are a nice shade of yellow I fancy doing the carved bit pale yellow, but that will have to wait until DD1 get back from her holiday and I can talk DSIL to wield the paint brush!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: It make take me a couple of years but I'll get there.

Oh goodness, I do hope it all goes through ok, I'll be devasted if it doesn't........its cost me £270 already:eek:  :D
