    Afternoon all

    Just to let you know that DGD has a dose of gastro enteritis now to add to all her other problems, she is still being fed by tube but is not really keeping it down. Poor DIL is at her wits end, I have just spoken to DS and he says she is like a zombie at the moment with all the worry and lack of sleep. Just hope we get some good news soon.

    Not alot of OS going on here except the usual housework and ironing.

    Yet again thanks for all your kind support. As has been said before what a lovely community you are.

    Well my back got worse before it got better. It's 100% now but for a few days I could hardly manage to do anything. So I did nothing. :D I was told today very rudely & loudly on the ferry to shopping that it was a shaggers back. :rolleyes: DH's wishes it was I suppose. :D But it was a gardener's back. :p

    Did somebody say "Desperate Housewives"??:rotfl::rotfl::T:T

    Snowy I've been waiting patiently for you to post a pic of your desk. :p
    V.funny Skippy but don't give up your day job...
    :rolleyes::rolleyes:

    It's so flipping cold here, I've got the heating on - it is an unknown for me to put the heating on during the day, usually I just shiver and put on a few extra layers but that's doing nothing for me today. It's coming down in buckets too, so I have washing all over the house.

    floss2, yes I have used that International brand tile paint before. If you follow the instructions on the tin to the letter and take your time you can get an excellent finish. I was very pleased with what I did - I covered up some dark blue tiles in a dark and dingy kitchen in my last place, and it made such an improvement. If you're nervous perhaps you could do a bit of practice on some spare tiles with one of those little tester pots?

    Welcome back Mudgekin - sounds like you've got a very good friend in WS.

    My signing on forms arrived today...hurray:(:cry: I don't want to be on benefits, but that's the situation I'm in so have to get on with it. Unfortunately Teddy my cat needs a dental as he has some v.bad teeth. I'm too scared to phone the vet cos I know I'll go :eek::eek: Best to wait until I have a job and then I'll get him booked in right away and know that I'll be able to replace the money that it will cost.

    Little Dylan is doing really well - I bought some medicines from the US which have proven very very useful in his treatment. I'm a member of a Yahoo group where owners of cats with a similar condition get together and discuss the problem. Unfortunately the medicines aren't available in Europe and so my vet couldn't get them for me - thank God for internet buying otherwise wee Dylan would be no more. He's on the windowsill at the minute trying to catch raindrops...sooo sweet!

    Enjoy the rest of your day everyone.

    Snowy

    Yes, I've used it - it gives a good finish as long as you have a good brush, and will be great for a spruce-up to sell your house :)

    oooh thanks for this Floss icon7.gif

    Chrisca - just read this page and seen your news of DGD. No wonder she can't keep much down at the moment, little thing. Sending very positive vibes and prayers also. My thoughts are also with your son and D-in-L ... although my kids were older - both in hosp with e-coli one time and then my son was very ill the year before last - I know that hospitals can be unintentionally very lonely places. Tell both to eat - even if it is a muesli bar and a cup of tea. I think I lived on those for a few days.

    Snowy have you tried the Blue Cross? I think them or the PDSA do lower price med care for the furry ones esp if you are older or on benefits..

    Well, I do not want to say too much, but we have been to look at the house and although it could do with a good clean its acceptable....there is room for the table in the kitchen.....a built in cooker and fridge freezer, anyone want to buy a almost new cooker????? double oven, halogen hob....would swap for a decent washer!!! There is also a unit in the kitchen that pulls out for all the tins etc....the living room has a laminate floor, stair carpet could do with being cleaned, its beige and a bit mucky, both bedrooms have built in wardrobes, the one in the back bedroom has been built over another cupboard, sounds daft, but it means that I can get all the stuff thats in the attic in that cupboard and still have loads of room for my sewing stuff....yay!!!!!!!!!! We have set the ball rolling, I have paid the fee for the searches etc and have to fill in the forms and take them back on Thursday with some other paper work........I have to live with the curtains etc that are there for at least 12 months, but that should not be a problem..........I will just shut my eyes to it............. I think the bedroom has pale lilac in which isn't too bad.

    There was some quite weird panitings on the wall, which may well find themselves either in the loft or the garage.......

    OH seems quite bulled up by the idea of having a garden again to look after, there is grass at the front, and the back is paved, and I can have a washing line again!!!!! Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!

    Just keep your fingers crossed that everything goes through ok..........will keep you updated.
