Just a quickie 'cos I'm off to the hospital for my torture, sorry treatment.
Diva, I'm so pleased you are able to speak to Tristan, you are in my thoughts.
Kathy, you seem to have your hands full, don't be overdoing things.
Csarina, keeping my fingers crossed for you with the viewing.
Sausage flan defrosting for dinner and think I will do some potatoes fried in garlic butter and some sort of veg.
Have a good day.0 -
Gdday possums,
:bdaycake: Hope you have a lovely day Silver charming & belated ones to Dazi
Well my back got worse before it got better. It's 100% now but for a few days I could hardly manage to do anything. So I did nothing.I was told today very rudely & loudly on the ferry to shopping that it was a shaggers back. DH's wishes it was I suppose.
But it was a gardener's back.
DGS still with his dad and staying a bit longer on holidays. I'm going to work with DH tomorrow. He does the markets every Wednesday and has asked me to go with him before but I always look after DGS that day so not be able to. At least I"ll be in the air-con cab if nothing else. The humidity has been awful. March usually sees some relief. Not yet anyway.
I have sweet potatoe's coming out of my ears lately so been finding ways to use them. Made a lovely pie tonight ( even if I say so myself) with them.
Moiliere I hope you get it all done. Good luck. xx
MSDHugs for you & Tristan
Snowy I've been waiting patiently for you to post a pic of your desk.
Smoky Maybe a night light might help. When DD was little I had a touch lamp next to her bed. If she got frightened she'd just reach over & touch it. Might help in guiding him to the loo. Either that you could put super glue on it before bed.
Hope you all have a lovely day & <hugs> to those that need them. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning all!!
Trying my hardest to not go back to bed this morning! Not sure what's wrong with me, but I am so tired! Didn't want to get out of bed this morning, but managed to drag myself out to take the kids to school. Had an early night last night, so don't know why I am so tired this morning!
Ended up having roast again yesterday with the leftover chicken. Think I have cracked doing roast potatoes as my past couple of tries have come out really well!
Only thing I have planned today is going over to do a couple of hours painting at Mum's today. Will try and do a bit of swish and swipe around rooms that need it today.
Got the usual run around this evening! Always chaos on a Tuesday! Beavers, PC course as well as dinners at different times and people coming and going!
My two are dressing up on Friday for National Book Week, unfortunately I am not OS enough to make costumes, though I did manage to pick up 2 cheap Harry Potter costumes which are due for delivery today. Will post a pic of them dressed up in em on Friday!
Lunch - Hummus, pitta bread, carrot sticks & peppers
Dinner - Meatballs, pasta & veg
Hugs to all!

Morning Chums
Happy Birthday Silvercharming:bdaycake: :bdaycake: :bdaycake: Hope you have a great one with lots of nice things
Moiliere, my brother lives in France (Villefagnan,) and when ever he is over on a visit he always takes back around a thousand tescos T-bags as he says the tea is rubbish over there, even though its usually Liptons.
MSD, thinking of you at this moment in time, and my candle is still burning.
Well the weather is looking decidedly grey at the moment ,the sun struggled out for about 10 minutes then gave up. Rain is almost certainly on the way as my joints are giving me gyp this morning.I was going to take myself of to the seniors movies this morning,(£3.00 plus a cuppa and a biscuit and a movie) but I think I will give it a miss and stay in and have a play with my new craft CD rom instead. Its a decoupage 3d builder, so that should keep me busy for a while. Think I may have some salmon salad for lunch,I have a tin left over from Christmas to use up, its a big one but I can always make some salmon fishcakes with whats left over, and maybe a couple of lamb chops from the freezer for dinner tonight.
Tomorrow I am helping my DD dejunk her kitchen cupboards.last week we did all the tops and surfaces, this week we are going to turn them all out and have a good chuck out. Quite a satifying job, she is going to help me with mine next week.Right, time I got a wriggle on the coffee pot is calling Have a good day everyone and <<hugs >> to those in need.
Cheers JackieO xx0 -

Hi all, haven't been around for a few days, did u miss me?! Been doing some OS stuff, made a big batch of Roasted BNS soup which I love! I've also made a whole load of tuna & sweetcorn tortilla wraps and put them in the freezer for ED & OH packed lunch. They both took them yesterday and said they were lovely which was good cos I've never done the frozen sandwiches before and was a bit worried how they would turn out.:j Also did a load of mini pittas with grated cheddar & carrot. I'll see what ED has to say about that today! Seems to work well cos they both come in big packs which will go stale before they get used unless they are frozen. Also OH moans at how long it takes to make lunch so now he just has to chuck things in a box and he's away. Got loads of packed lunch goodies in the freezer now so smiles all round I think.
Had yummy corned beef hash yesterday carried over from last weeks menu as I forgot to buy corned beef! Tonight ED has a friend from school round for tea so they will have jp, beans & hm beef burgers. Not sure if there are enough beef burgers for me & OH so will have to check. I must admit I bought some cakes for them to have for pudding today as I didn't think I'd have time to make cakes today.:o
Well kitchen is in a mess, theres clutter all over the house and I have to take YD to her exercise class where I have to crawl around on the floor and pretend to be a mouse!:o The things we do for kids!;)0 -
Hi
Back on while I wait for neat Stardrops to work its magic on the oven  I've done the top oven/grill so just the main one now - oh and the hob but I'm getting thereI follow Flylady on the UK flybabies site so its kitchen for deep cleaning this week (for me anyway I did my own calendar to suit me more). The oven is usually left until last as its my least fave job so thought I'd get it out of the way first this month
I've got some music playing on the computer whilst I work so its not too bad. I've joined www.spotify.com which is a LEGAL download site where you can create music folders to listen to. You can't download to a phone or anything but I'm loving it. They've got everything from Mozart to 50 Cent & U2's latest album so plenty of choice :T I noticed it on the 10 o'clock news one day last week so thought I'd give it a whirl. Very MSE as its totally free :rotfl:
Hope everyone is having a good day so far. I'm getting back to the oven now and have also got to hang two loads of washing upstairs - damp outside today - and make the pasta bake before I go out at lunchtime.0 -
Good morning everyone!
Very grey day here! Going to be a day of pottering around the house I think. So far the bm and wm are going, kitchen is half s&s! Need to give my room a good tidy, whizz round dd3's room and hoover everywhere.
Kids lunches were hm rolls with cheese and cucumber (hooray cucumber is 59p in Lidl!), yoghurt raisins, apple and a bag of hula hoops! My lunch will be cheese and mushrooms on toast, cos that's what I fancy.
Dinner tonight will be cauli cheese (huge caulis on offer, 59p I think, in Lidl) and sausages and crusty bread and salad.
Did some shopping yesterday, and thought I'd grab some cheap stardrops, only new bottles on the shelf in Asda, but shelf label said 50p for old style packaging (made me giggle, do we now have our own style of packaging?!), anyway, big new bottle went through at 50p, bargain! Best get using it and cleaning I guess!
Hugs to all and will have a quick catch up with a cuppa - not read properly, so sorry if I've missed anything recently xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Hugs to all!
Chrisca - hope you get some good news
MSD - praying for you and Tristan
Bunny - I must try some of those ideas - gloat points for dear heart.
Little bear was on turbo all day yesterday until he crashed and slept at @ 5.30 - then he had to be woken up to be put to bed @ 7.30. He slept until @ 7.30am and has been on turbo ever since. I think he is sickening for something.
Halight - deeply envious of that mom. Now I only get momomom if I am being told off!
Full of cold, shoulder in agony, full of tablets, little bear is not going to 'movement' today.
OS - if I manage anything at all I will post. Freezer roulette for tea but at least I can say I have things in a freezer these days!Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
