    Morning all,
BM on and WM finished. I've sorted out all decorating stuff to start on DD2 and Sil2b's bedroom which will be the birthing room, baby due in 8 days time.
DH will help me to move some of the furniture out.

Have made some spicy carrot and tom soup to take for DD's lunch and a shep pie for their dinner. Managed to get quite a lot of baking done y/day, enough to see us through the week as I'll be busy for most of it.

DIVA, What a heartbreaking time for you, although you must be relieved to hear from Tristan once again. Prayers are being sent for you all.

    NEWBIES, Welcome.

SILVERCHARMING, Hope you have a happy birthday _party_ _party_ :bdaycake:

Hi, everyone. It's quite nice here today.Very mild and the wind has gone.
I've just been out cleaning my yard it's very spring like and all my pots that are full of little daffodils,forget-me-nots and primulas are in full bloom, almost over night.
I'm going into town to do some shopping and will prepare dinner before I go,once I decide what we're having.
I spent all day yesterday tidying my cupboards and am amazed at some of the things I've found.I'll be using everything up before I buy anymore.I feel quite disgusted with myself at how wasteful I have been in the past.
Have to have an early night tonight as we're taking my grand-daughter for her uni interview in Manchester tomorrow.I just can't bear the thought of her leaving. It was hard with my own girls but with this little lady it's going to be so much harder I can tell you.
Well have a good day everyone.(((Hugs))) to all that need them.
    Take care.............

Morning all.................(((((((((((((((((((((((((((MEGA HUGS))))))))))))if you need one.

A grey morning, woke just after 7.30am and decided to get up, cereal ad one coffee down one coffee to go.

This afternoon we are going to view a house!!!!! We passed it at the weekend when we were out walking........we will see what happens. When I first looked at things I did not think we could afford to go, but having jiggled the money around a bit I can just find the £1300 they need up front......will have to use 2 men and a van to move us though....and do my own packing.

If we are successful I will give notice on this apartment when we next pay the rent 15th March, hopefully take the house from 1st April which will give me 2 weeks to move stuff over, like kitchen cupboard contents etc, so hopefully all thats left is the furniture on moving day..........I am not getting too excited yet, we need to see if they will accept us as tenants first.......

OH is still in the land of nod........hope he is not too late getting up, its cleaning day......did n't do it yesterday I was at the allotment.

Tried to ring the hospital yesterday, answer machine on.........will try again today. Also rang re our travel insurance, hopefully that will stir things up a bit, 2 months is much too long to settle an open and shut case, the chap on the phone yesterday agreed with me.......

Right off for my second mug of coffee, will collect the dusters at the same time, can at least dust the sitting room if nothing else.....
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

    Morning all

    Happy birthday silvercharming
hugs MSD, Sarah, Mrs TM and anyone else who needs one.
I can't say that pork meatballs avec condensed mushroom soup into which a tin of sweetcorn and some puckered peppers have been dumped all nestling on a bed of assorted pasta shapes is going to make it to the final of Masterchef but the dds did eat it at least. Tonight's tea will be a more organised affair involving soem chicken drumsticks

w*rk in a bit and then I have to hand in some papers for dd's old after school group. I've left them where dd(12) can find them so that if I'm late home the lady that needs them can just drop in.

    Have a good day
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

BOO! Did #I make you jump?:j

Not been around much because aagain I'm struggling to get up in the mornings - one step forward, two back. Roll on Summer with it's bright cheery days!

It's taken me ages to get through the posts because every time I clicked the thanks buttons it scrolled me straight back to the top of the page:confused:
I remember what's happening, but at the moment I'm struggling with names, sorry:o
Very touched by what is going on, even though I only have half a story in some cases due to being new back to the board. My love to those who need x

Happy Birthday Silvercharming, hope you have a lovely day.

Today I am having a lounging day, otherwise known as a lazy day. If I can find out the correct diltuion rates for my jeyes fluid (to sterilise plant pots) I'll get started with sterelising them so I can crack on with sowing my seeds but other than that, a couple of important calls and feeding the kids will be my limit. Hmmm, maybe today I could finally make the pancakes! We spent last tuesday eve in A&E.
Right, off to my 'busy' day :p
    January '06 Grocery Challenge (4th - 31st) £320.
    Week 1 - £73.99 Week 2 £5.10 (so far :p )
Someone burst my bubble and I lost the plot so no idea what I spent now... :(I will try to work it out.
    Other Jan :- Petrol £20.41, Clothes £8.50, House £3.

:bdaycake:Happy birthday Silvercharming - have a big chunk of cake and a nice :coffee: to go with it. Hope you enjoy your day.

(((hugs))) to all who are feeling under the weather or sad.
Chrisca - hope you have good news of DGD today.

Weather here is sunny but not as warm as it has been lately.
Plan to get some kitchen cupboard paint later today. Our units are painted in yellow and they need a touch up if we are going to get round to getting this house on the market. Anyone had success with tile paint? The tiles are in great condition but the pattern has flecks of grey. Ideally I'd paint over them in white but want to see if anyone has done this on here. Might try the shabby chic crew - they're always up to some decorating:D
Hope everyone has a good day

  • Good Morning,

hope everyone is well today. I have been very tied up with house stuff lately; so much to do and think about.
I also have an interview tomorrow for a PGDE course in Home Economics. Very nervous but it is something I have always wanted to do. The course would start in August for a year an then I would do a years probabtion. With the way w*rk is going just now I feel I may not have a job for much longer:confused:
Then on Fri I go to Aberdeen as OH is back and I am going up there for the weekend. Cannot wait, just hope those stupid protesters don't upset the flights coming back on Thursday:mad:

OS today is listing more stuff on Ebay, stardropping the flat and lovely ironing:rolleyes: Have rolls for lunch today and a teriakyi pork stir fry for tea. 3 packs of meat for £10 (beef medallions, pork steaks and gammon slices) at Asda, not best quality but I am trying to save every penny just now. I overheard someone saying the pork was Dutch and they mis-treat their pigs but honestly I can't afford to worry about the pigs:confused:

Hugs to Moggins, MSD and all others today.

    Happy Birthday Silvercharming!
