    Morning Everyone

Just a quick post before I plunge into the shower.

Its Parents Evening tonight so a manic day here to try and get in front of myself but somehow not quite in the mood.Been up since 5am and done the lunchboxes, ironing and fed the kids their brekkie.Got to make some bread and some drop scones today.I've got another apron to make for the costumes for world book day.YD is going as Cinderella in her rags and ED is going as Alice in Wonderland.Still not sure what ES is going as but at this rate I'll be sewing some yellow stripes onto a blue t-shirt and he can go as Horrid Henry!

Could do with getting some baking done today if I can find the time. But OH is on a split shift so will be home mid morning till mid afternoon so dont think I'll find the time

MSD-Still keeping Tristan in my prayers and I'm delighted for you both that things seem a little better at the moment and long may they last

Mioliere-I am so so jealous of your move abroad.I'd love to leave this country and live elsewhere but hubby is a home bird and firmly refuses to even consider a move

M.E - Theres nowt worse than bragging:rotfl:36 Degrees!!!!!!!!! cor that would be nice right now especially with snow being forecast for here tomorrow.:o

:bdaycake: Happy Birthday Silvercharming I hope its a good 'un

    Morning everyone,

    ((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) to Diva

Kathy - You sound like you're feet aren't touching the ground ;) Good luck with everything it'll be an adventure & as long as you have your internet connection sorted out you'll still be able to stay in touch with your grandchildren :T

    SilverCharming - Happy Birthday!!

Up waiting for Dh to get home after his night shift. DS2 having breakfast, DS3 in the bathroom by the sound of it, DD not in college until 10am so no sounds from her yet & DS1 is still sound asleep - I'll let the dog into his room to wake him up soon :D:D

My best friend is coming round today which I'm looking forward to, we'll have some lunch & then go to the library. We'll have a mooch round town doing some bargain hunting as well ;)

HM soup/sandwich for lunch & pasta bake for dinner I think. The meal plan has gone slightly off kilter this week with me having been ill it'll get back on track though :p

Love to all, enjoy your Tuesdays.

    Many Happy Returns SilverCharming:beer:

MSD - (((hugs))) to you and Tristan.

Feeling a little bit cooler here today, shame I was enjoying the milder weather, can still feel spring in the air though & the evenings are getting lighter:j

Had a good day yesterday, got loads from Ikea for £20 and had their meatballs for lunch - very nice. Did some paperwork and some baking at long last.

Had tescos delivery yesterday but need to go to Morrisons today for DD's school food tech ingredients. Last week I had to pay £5 to the school towards ingredients & today I need to get a pummet of strawberries and some kiwi fruit, she also needs 3 eggs! Not happy about this - think they should use fruit that is in season and also perhaps they havnt noticed the recession! I can afford it, but for some people its a lot. Anyway off my soapbox.

Have some paperwork to do, a little ironing and will make some butterfly cakes today. Chicken stirfry for dinner - must remember to get the chicken out of the freezer.

    Have a great day.
    x

Mioliere - cant believe how quickly you are going! Sounds like you will be flat out for a while.

    Morning :hello:

    Diva, Chrisca and Vastsarah hug.gif

    Happy Birthday SilverCharming :bdaycake:

I've just been stood in the kitchen doorway, spying on a mouse. It's running backwards and forwards along the bottom stair and the wall, so I quickly shoved the electronic trap down. On it's return journey, it sniffed the box and turned round  All I've managed to do is make it's running circuit shorter  :D There was a dead mouse on the mat by the back door, no idea what killed it though

I really must get the freezer sorted. I've got an A4 sheet of paper stuck to the side of the fridge with a list of what's in there, and a row of little boxes next to each thing. The first box has the number of each thing in the freezer. The idea is, when someone uses something, they write it in. So if there's 4 pies and I eat one, I cross out the box and write 3 in the next box along. Easy, yes? Only for me apparently

So I'll redo the freezer list and start baking to replace all the 'missing' (or not missing, lol) food. I want to get the ironing out of the way, there's not much but I want everything done and sorted. Mr tru started his new job yesterday, turns out there's a gift department and they sell cards but there's no handmade ones. He mentioned me, they told him to bring samples in :j Guess what I'll be doing for the next few days :D And guess how much mess I'll make in the lounge while I'm doing it :rotfl:

Maybe a quiet word to the school is in order - suggest they do some more budget-conscious recipes or teach the kids how to do rubber chicken!

    Morning everyone

Happy birthday Silvercharming, hope you have a fantastic day!

Vastsarah - I saw your post at the end of yesterday's thread...please let us know how everyone is. You must be so worried.

MSD - how lovely that you had that communication with Tristan.

Chrisca - how are things today?

I didn't go to bed until 3.00 am or so - was busy reading. Ha ha bet you thought I was going to say baking or ironing or something. No fear of that! As I'm a "Lady of Leisure" I might hop back into my bed for another hour or so.

Today is more of the same ie job-hunting. I'm making a bit of progress on getting the chaos of my household under control too, slowly but surely. The place might actually be tidy this time next year (if I am still unemployed that is:o)

Bye for now, have a great day.

    Morning guys,
:grouphug: to those that need them. Happy birthday Silvercharming hope you have a good day.
Well the weather is not looking good today, think we may have lots of rain:confused: Which is just typical as was looking forward to perhaps walking with the kids tonight as I am now off work.
Yesterday we went out and I managed to get my easiyo maker......a huge succcess with the kids and may be one of the best things I have brought:D . DD has had a half a bowl of yoghurt already and ds1 liked it too..so will be going in his & ds2's luchboxes. Think DS1 is getting well impressed with my os ways. He thinks it's amazing that I've made yoghurt:D and says my bread is the best:A .
Well today I'm not sure what I am doing but think I will be putting another coat of white on DD bedroom walls and then may think of taking a ride to ikea or somewhere just for a look around.
Hope you all have agood day.

Morning all, not been getting near the computer as much recently, having a bit of a busy time at the moment.

I'm pleased to say that OS isn't suffering too much and we have a good supply of things in the house to rustle up quick meals. Trying to use up fridge things at the moment as i shall be away Friday - SUnday in Holland for the European Barbershop competition.

OOD eggs got used last night, also some bread, had a bit too much. I had egg on toast, ds had eggy bread and dh a cheese omelette. I made Toad in the hole the other night and too much batter, so dh has been having a pancake for pud. TONight it's the avocados and tomatoes. Got some coriander from Mr M and some cooked lamb from the freezer, so that will be guacomole, wraps (will make later on) salsa fresca etc etc. Chillis for those who like :eek:

I'm in work today, but going to try and do some sewing as I have 'nothing to wear' in the tops dept that is decent enough to wear without a cardi! have a shirt that I can finish. Am also trying to fit a new pattern, but not there with that one yet.

Sorry I have missed all your news, it's nice to catch up when I do get here though.

Tru - thank you for yesterday and being so kind and understanding, I wish everyone was like you, my best friend is no longer talking to me now.

I've woken up feeling really tired this morning even though I had a really good nights sleep so I might have a little nap this morning and then plough on with the washing mountain (my son finally brought his washing down). I pulled some chicken drumsticks out of the freezer yesterday so I'll use those for tea. Must ring my mum as well as dad came out of hospital yesterday and I want to find out how they are coping.
