    Asset2004: This does several hairs at a time, unlike the Rio you mentioned.

    I've done 6 or 7 treatments on my upper legs and underarms, and two treatments on my lower legs. I'm honestly not sure how well it's working yet. It hasn't made much difference to the underarms, and on the upper legs I'm not sure -- the growth seems slower there, but I'm not certain how much difference there is.

    For those who haven't bought one yet, if it were me, I'd wait until there is a sale or offer of some sort rather than pay 299. I got it at 249 plus double points with a voucher and extra spend points from the ACM and I think I had a coupon for 5 quid off electrical beauty. Surely there will be a sale or good offer of some sort again.

    If you are thinking of getting a BSS and don't have a Boots Advantage card, get the card and make sure to use it when you buy the BSS! And register online and make sure your settings say you are happy being contacted by Boots by postal mail or email. They only ever mail you things at home when they are including a coupon of some kind, and that's how I got the extra points vouchers and the one for electrical beauty. I earned about 22 pounds in points when I bought my BSS. And a few times they have emailed printable vouchers, though mostly you just get emails about sale offers.

    I had a email from Paypal that said 10% off in Boots if you pay using Paypal.

    I would like the people that have been using it since it was 1st on sale to come on here and say how they have got on with it .But no one has ! So what does that say about this expensive machine !

    I got my machine late April, I've done 5 treatments now on my BL, and I'm noticing a couple of hairless patches, but underarms have had 4 treatments and no difference as far as I'm aware yet. I'm definitely going to persist with it though. Maybe some of us are expecting results too soon, it does say 12 treatments really doesn't it, and I think there's a bit of a time delay before the hairs drop out. I did my test patch on my leg, it was at a bit of a busy time so didn't have a chance to do any treatments until about 3 weeks after, but a couple of weeks after the patch test I noticed the patch I'd done on my leg was definitely patchy and slower growing...and that was only one treatment. So I live in hope! It'd be great if this works. If and when I conquer the BL and underarm area I will then go on to my legs, which I know will take a long time, but if the machine gets hotter and more painful I believe my legs are the area it'll be easiest to take!

    I think you're right. No one has posted saying that they have done 12 treatments yet. I think expecting it to happen before then is a bit optimistic. Although completely understandable. :D

    I have done 7 treatments on my under chin and chin area. I think I am seeing results for sure on my under chin. There is a lot less hair there and what is there definatly grows back slower. On my chin itself apart from growing about half a day slower i'm not noticing any difference at all, but this area is very thick. Have now done 4 (painful!) treatments on my underarms and this I think maybe beginning to grow a little slower.
    And I have now done 3 treatments around my nipple area I think. And this may also be growing back slower. I used to do all once but this is now so painful and gets hot so i'm splitting into 2 seperate days. Face one day and the underarms and nipple area the next. Due another face (chin and under chin area) treatment today.

    hey there everyone,

    I haven't posted here for a while, sorry about that, it's obviously all the fun i've been having not shaivng my legs or waxing anymore - ha ha!... yep, it's been a long and thankless task, but i'm pretty much there, have sort of forgotten about the fact I used to have to shave my legs pretty much every other day...and my bikini line is so smooth, it's as if there was no hair in the first place, it's amazing, ha! Def' keep going with it, it's well worth it, but watch out a bit now it's so sunny, if your skin goes darker than your hair, it's not going to work, and you could burn yourself...

    oh, and i found these on YouTube the other day, think they must've only gone up recently coz i would've found them ages ago when i was first looking otherwise...

    anyway, they might help those of you who're a bit dubious about the whole thing - the 'how to' one is probably the most useful;

    zoe33. Thanks for posting. Too me the videos on youtube look like they were testers as one woman said something like "your not going to take it back now"

    They are both Boots official videos and the women are Boots employees. I saw them ages ago. On the Boots website.

    hi melda,

    not sure exactly, feels like i've been doing it for quite a while now, but that's because i did it in stages, started doing legs, bikini and underarm, but couldn't do all three in terms of time, so focused on bikini and pits initially, and then went back to the legs. like other people on here, legs seem to be the hardest bit in terms of patience and time.

    Started having a few 'bald' patches pretty quickly under the arms - about week 2/3 - then patches on the bikini line started disappearing from week 4 onwards i think. But as people have said, it's about treating all the hair at different stages of the growth cycle (i think?!), so you just have to keep zapping away. I got a bit lax ocassionally, and missed a couple of sessions, but not so much that it put me back in terms of progress. think the legs were the hardest part, just takes such a long time..but, i think it's pretty much sorted now..i'd say, i ended up doing between 8 and 12 sessions on each area - knees and some patches on the back of the legs i needed to do a few extra times, but once i was pretty much 'smooth' it was easy to spot the areas i needed to target and zap 'em a couple more times...

    hope that helps, how are you getting on? xx
