  • Hey there,

a friend of mine has one and I've looked into it and I'm now toying with the idea of getting one too.

Ebay is a no go wishiwasarichgirl as apparently their 'life' is determined by the machine's bulb which has enough for one person's full treatment and a tiny bit extra for strays.

u01jet4, it's for legs, underarms, bikini line... all the info on the BSS site:

    http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?storeId=10052&categoryId=42684&catalogId=10551

Zoe33, I'm really surprised it's only taken you 3 weeks to get results. My friend started seeing change after her fourth / fifth week. I've actually seen patches of hairless skin on her legs !! Pretty cool and a darn site cheaper than laser or salon ipl.

I'm on the cusp of buying one I think!

Ok so I bought one this afternoon! Credit Cards are blooming dangerous

Hopefully it's gonna be worth it though, it seems to be getting good reviews.

Im going to do a patch test soon then go for my underarms possibly tomorrow or Friday, so I'll let you know how it goes :)

Is it easy to use on underarms? Also I have alot of skin tags there so not sure if it is suitable.

I found these links helped to give me a better idea of whether it's good o not, and they definitely persuaded me to buy it:

(a message board where different people are giving their thoughts)

I also spoke to the girl in boots about it and she was extremely helpful answering all my questions. She said they were trained on it about a year ago and had a refresher course a month or two ago. She said loads of the girls on the course were really positive about it, including ones who frequently paid a fortune for laser hair removal.

You only do it once a week and I think it takes around 4 weeks to start seeing a noticeable difference, but I'll certainly update on this thread. Gonna do a test patch this evening and if all's well I'll do my first treatment tomorrow :)
  • Checked my bank balance and thought about it and I'm popping into Boots later today to buy one!!

    CAN'T WAIT!!! :D

Yay QueenMartine, I'm excited for you!

Did my test patch last night, tried a wee bit on my legs and one of my underarms. You're meant to wait 48 hours but no bad side effects so far so I think i'll treat mu underarms properly tonight if it's still fine by this evening.

Began on dark on my legs and didn't feel a thing, so changed it to medium and didn't feel a thing. I think that is a good thing but somehow my brain is telling me if you literally can't feel anything then it can't be working!

When I tried it on my underarms I did it at medium and did feel it as the light flashed, but it was really in no way painful and having had my underarms waxed and epilating them once (OUCH!) I would happily use the smooth skin all day in comparison to those. It wasn't painful anyway, just a burst of heat.

Let us know how you get on QueenMartine and anyone else trying it :)

good one girls, Martine, you got yours yet?!! i've done session 4 now, and it's definitely working, it's getting well exciting now too, woohooo! And it really does leave 'smooth skin' behind - as though there was never any hair there at all...ever! ha!! the bikini line's the best bit, can't wait to NEVER have to deal with it ever again, it's like a miracle! ha ha!!
Th only bit that's a little bit painful for me is the armpits, so i changed it to the dark setting for that bit, which is much better (i'm medium everywhere else...)

Does anyone know when the promo' price finishes? you've gotta get in there while it's still £50 off - it's all about saving money afterall!! x
